5 or 3.1 M Digital cameras to use on Mini pix
Just saw these for sale on woot.com tonight and bought one. If you've never visited woot, they sell 1 item every night til they sell out, some good some bad...I needed a digital camera so i bought one. Just letting folks know...but not sure if I'm breaking a NAM rule by posting this. If I am..go ahead and delete it, no worries. I'm not associated with that site anyway. Night all Nam'rs
...thought about this and just to clarify so I don't get people mad at me...this is not a great camera but I needed a digital so I bought it. It seemed like a decent price for what I was getting. I mainly shoot video so I rarely need a camera. If you want a really good camera there are 8.2M cameras that cost a lot more but can give you professional results.
that's exactly what I was thinking... it would be perfect to keep in the glovebox (with batteries turned upside down to prevent drainage) for the impromptu pictures that come up while you're motoring! all in all a solid deal for the money.
Regarding the camera in the car. If you don't have one, get one!!..and not just for taking motoring pictures. If, God forbid, you are ever in an accident and it is not your fault or the fault is questionable. You want to take pics of your car, their car, and the location it happened. I had a situation where a guy hit me and after a couple hours told his insurance company it was my fault. I ended up taking him to small claims court and used photo's and toy cars to demonstrate to a judge what happened. I did this when I was 18 years old so you can guess that it was an uphill battle trying to convince a 50 year old judge that the 40 year old guy was at fault and not me, the teenager. 2 weeks later I received in a letter the judge's decision. I won. I then forwaded that to my insurance company and they took it to the other guys insurance and I got my car fixed. Another time I was hit and the person started saying it was not their fault when the cop came. I pulled out the camera and started taking pictures. The cop asked what i was doing and in front of both of them I said I was going to take this to court if he didn't tell the truth about what happened. He immediately changed his bogus story and explained that maybe he was at fault. Point is, if you get in an accident, most people will say it wasn't their fault. You will need proof. Stick a camera in the glove box, and if you have teens, make sure they have one because older people will take advantage of the situation if they can.

absolutely. also if you can't swing the cost for a cheap digital camera get at least a disposable camera. Also, these days you can get a disposable digital camera from most camera stores or even some drug stores. with how everything is going digital some insurance companies will even handle your entire claim if you can send digital photos.
