Before and After M7 Hood Scoop

I decided it was time for a change . One before, many afters for anyone curious to see the scoop on an EB MCS. Notice: the scoop is NOT blue :

No!!!! Don't run me over!

The last one gives you a feel for the difference in size. So, what do you think??? I really like the lines on my car, personally. It looks stock. And, the IC is really quite cool after having LOADS of fun . Now, just gotta get my top secret white wheels!

Looks good. I am not a fan of the "big nose" look, but I like the color contrast. Good work.

It disturbs the lines too much for my taste but if it's functional, great.

Interesting contrast. I went with the contrast as well instead of keeping it the body color.

I would imagine it helps cool the charge, but it reminds me of a whale shark!

Hehe, for some reason, your M7 scoop reminds me of Darth Bobo.

Smaller intake?

Is it an optical illusion or does the actual intake/inlet look smaller than stock??

What are the dimensions compared to stock of the intake/inlet compared to stock?

But I do love the contrast in colors

Good eye! It is in fact a little bit smaller area-wise, but the inlet actually fits BETTER into the existing black plastic air path. The big difference with the scoop is it traps more air [by sticking out into the smooth high pressure area at the nose of the car]. Look for the thread with numbers by TonyB. This scoop lowers IAT's BETTER than the GRS intercooler. . It all depends on if you're ashamed of a big nose or not .

That company never ending up bringing them into production. The only other option is Sid's ram air project. Of the stick-on CF extension from mini mania

if thats going to need paint, now that i have an on call body man, i might as well have him mold one into the hood and repaint for me.

Accuracy is overrated. But, if that's what you want, . . . . here it is. I should have posted a younger one in the first place!
