Do those GoPro cameras have some sort of remote trigger, or do you have to run around switching it on and off before you get into the car? Looks almost too good to be true at $200 or less...

 

yes, you do have to run around and turn it on and off. it's a great camera but it will only hold about an hour of stuff on each card. it will only use 2gigs. if you put in an 8 gig card it will only use 2gigs. The new camera with the wide angle lens sounds like the way to go. you can get it with all the mounting hardware for $190.

 

No remote unfortunately.

The button on the front of it turns it on or off and switches modes. The button on top is the shutter button to start and stop the video or take a picture.

I usually turn it on and start recording before I run, then get out and stop it after I'm done.

 

the cameras at motocam360 have remote switch and can handle 4 gig SD mem cards
