Welcome to the Valley

Where were these subjects located? I'm guessing the Indian Canyon area because of the water and all. Am I close?

Whoa. The water photo is really...WET. These are beautiful. I won't spoil it by asking how much of it was in the taking and how much in the processing although I am curious and am willing to remain so.

I have never been to Palm Springs and always thought it was a bunch of 50s modernist houses and guys with flip flops. These photos make it look worthwhile. I might make it a road trip. Thanks, DiD.

Photo 1 was taken at Indian Canyon
Photo 2 & 3 were taken at the Moorten Botanical Gardens (just outside of Indian Canyon)

They were all shot in RAW format, so post processing is required (since the RAW file doesn't have any processing - sharpening, white balance, color space, etc). That said, what you see here didn't require that much processing and there has been no cropping of the original images.

It was my first time there and I enjoyed it quite a bit. We did half a day of hiking at Indian Canyon and there was a lot more to explore.

Confession Time
I only took the first photo. I let me friend use the camera for a bit at the botanic gardens and she took photos 2 & 3.

Palm Springs was very nice. I was actually pretty surprised it wasn't hotter out there and that it was still as green as it was. (coastal dweller speaking, so take that with a grain of salt)
