Lexus IS SportCross

Some pictures of OctaneGuy's "other" car.

All photos from the D70. The static shots were done with the 70-200 F/2.8 VR, hand held, VR on. The motion shot was with the 18-70 kit lens.

Mini-///M: You're right. It was Dockweiler (I had to look the spelling).

RallyMINI: Thanks. Have you shot anything recently? Also, nice catch on the MINI plate.

Wow DiD, they came out really nice!!! I think you need to ditch your engineering job and go work as an automobile photographer!!

For all of those interested, this is my wifes car, aka the "family car".
I thought the MINI plate would be a nice touch. I have two captions I would put on Dave's picture.

Just cause you wear a MINI badge doesn't make you a MINI

I'm glad you're happy with the photos. That's the largest car I have worked with yet.

My camera is broken, and they said it would cost more to fix it then it would be to buy a new one. My funds dont permit either unfortunately

Keep up the great work

What time of day were these shot? I like the lighting, especially of the first one (with the volleyball net in the background).

CustomAV: drop me a PM next time you're going to be out here. We can get together for dinner or something and we can talk photography an MINIs. In the meantime post your questions on the forum.

jabrowntx: my exif information says it was nearly 5 PM when that first shot was taken. Now the only question is whether I set the time correctly when I got the camera. I think that time is an hour off, I was going to say 4 PM before I looked at the exif.

hafid: The car isn't going all that fast, but the perspective in that one really accentuates the speed. As OctaneGuy pointed out, it makes the car look like it's blasting into infinity.
