Show me your NIGHT shots!
Gotta have a pic from Vegas! That's Circus Circus back there. We are planning on doing a better photo shoot from the roof of the parking garage at Planet Hollywood sometime soon...

Sorry they're not great pics. No DSLR, just a regular point and shoot. All my money goes into my MINI!

At MTTS the night before we went on Charlotte Motor Speedway. My R52 in front, Alex's R56 beside and we have not idea who's Coupe that is behind us!

Thanks and your right, that is it. Alex is very involved in the MINI community and has been to every MOTD. That car is in great hands. And I got to drive it around town and part of the dragon. That is one unbelievable machine from its speed to its handling. One of a kind!

Here is an attempt at painting with a flashlight.
This was taken at the Dragon this year. Handheld Canon "point and shot", LED Flashlight. Camera set to time exposure.
You can see some of the flashlight trails to the right above the bonnet. I took this picture of Killerfox's Clubman at the spur of the moment. We were up at the overlook and I pulled out the camera and said " lets give it a try. If I had fresh batteries I would have done more.
The last of daylight was purely by accident. I think it was after 9:00 PM when this was taken. It has encouraged me to try to do this again and this time be a little more prepared.

You can see my ghost trying to find a white app on the first shot! lol

@ FranticFreddy and Kevin - awesome idea.
You get those circles around the headlights pretty dead on.
thenoreness - I can’t see any pic.
And since you chose this thread for your very first post, I definitely want to see it.

Here is a shot from MOTD 2007. This was taken at the gravel lot during the Midnight Run. (You won't see this anymore, the R56 were just showing up and you can imagine their owners disappointment when they open their bonnets and...nothing!
)And with these photo editing programs you can manipulate any picture to an acceptable status.
I’ve found the easiest way to post a large pic is to have it somewhere else (photo bucket, etc - I use MINIUSA’s site), copy the link and then click on the photo icon (yellow w/mountains - fourth from the left if you look up there ^^^).
It's been awhile since I contributed... Used a flashlight to get the bonnet to show up. Was camping in the Adirondacks.

Thank you. It's the gf's. I just feel like my pics are so inadequate sometimes. Damn real photographers!!
I've had a BLAST scrolling thru this thread! Inspired me to bust out the tripod. A neighbor however thinks I'm a complete wack job, saw her peeking out the window as I paced around my mini with a couple of candles.
Basically it is a tiny aperture with a long exposure. This explains it pretty well:

Awesome idea with the candles - I may try my hand at that this weekend. No pesky neighbors for me, really...
