yetti - those shots are very cool. Wish I had a playground I could drive in with the MINI. All the ones around here are quite off limits!
I'm not saying this one you are supposed to be on but I found it just driving around and notice the sidewalk was large enough for...a MINI
I just remember reading an article on Jalop and one of my takeaways but shoot cars in places where they don't normally belong. I love pictures in parking garages, but its not hard to do. I wanted something different and thought it was perfect.
Off to search for other random places to take car photos...
This wasn't what I envisioned initially (it was not dark enough) but I liked it. It reminds me of the Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson). I've seen these shrink wrapped "things" for awhile bringing my kids to lacrosse practice and knew it would be something to figure out. That's an old air traffic control tower in the upper right... It was actually after dusk when I took this.
How about a thread resurrection! I just put new headlights in my R53 and changed over from xenons to LEDs.
Here is my R53 and F56 side by side, all LED.
My neighbor is a scrap dealer and I have free access to his lot. I always thought it would've been great to make some night shots in front of all the metal scraps in there, once there were enough and the tools he uses were around.
Now he's on vacation so the lot is closed for a few days, scrap all around, the moon and the chance to redo everything, should the first images were unsatisfactory.. what a better chance to take the plunge?
First shot came out too dark, but then I thought.. let's do some light paint and keep the rest of the image black!
