December Photo Poll
I was wondering about #6, unless here name is "Winter", then I think its just a blatant attempt to distract the judges. It seems to be working as well.
Its an interesting shot.

#6 is a darn good pic, but the topic is winter driving so I have to go with #2
The driver seems to be experiencing the fun and danger of motoring in the snow.
Having said that, I have to look at #6 again. The headlights really stand out in the pic.

I think #6 is a stunning photo (and I'm not only referring to the model
). As well as looking fabulous, the girl is really well posed (an aspect of the photographic art which completely eludes me
). The lighting is absolutely stunning on both the girl and the car, bringing out the best in both. Brilliant!
But - for my money, not as on-topic as a couple of others.
I really like the mood #4 captures. Perhaps it looks ordinary to people who live in snow areas, or maybe it just resonates with my melancholy nature. But, as an Aussie, the leafless, muddy greyness is as distinctive and strong an impression of snowy winters as the sunlit snow posters.
But #2 got my vote. The action puts it on topic, and the exposure has been well handled - not so easy to do, with a lot of foreground snow and bright patches of sky. And judging by the tyre tracks, the front-end-throw was captured at the first/only attempt. It's a more difficult shot than at first appears and it's been done really well.
All IMHO of course

I tried to get a picture of driving, but the light was right only for 1/2 an hour during the whole month. The sun went behind a cloud as soon as I'd found my stunt driver and she started driving.
If this topic ever comes up again my artistic advisor (who also doubles as stunt driver) has come up with a brilliant idea inspired by #6.

#2 looks dangerous (the car seems to be sliding towards the brick-surrounded lamppost or off the edge of the pavement towards impending doom) but it still got my vote as it is indeed winter-driving and very nice. #6 looks suspiciously well-done and makes me think photoshop. I suppose I could be wrong though.
