January will be the 49th NAM Monthly Photo Contest.

The winner of the January Photo Contest will be featured in the next issue of NAM Alliance Magazine

Follow this link for the: Rules and Submission Instructions The deadline for entry is noon pacific on the 25th of this month.

The photo contest is held to encourage people to take new photos with the topic in mind. As a result, please do not submit any photos taken before the contest topic was announced (see contest rules regarding EXIF data). Photos posted to this thread do not count. You must upload photos to the monthly photo contest gallery in order to be entered.

Interpret that how you will, keeping in mind that the photos must be MINI related and that only one photo per member per month may be submitted.

I had no inspiration for this theme at all. My wife had an interesting idea, which wasn't practical (I'll tell you what that was after the 25th). I got a vaguely reasonable shot and entered that, I hope others are having more luck with this one.

Having struggled last month with a winter photo in the middle of an Australian summer I'm happier with what I've been able to come up with this month. I guess anything was going to be easier It was definitely a challenge to think up something, but I have to say I'm enjoying the challenge of matching to a topic as part of the fun.

The idea my wife had was to take everything out of the inside (seats, trim etc) and arrange it suitably outside, without the rest of the MINI.

I think that could have made an interesting shot, but I didn't want to ruin a MINI finding out.
