What to do in Milwaukee?
Hello Gang,
Karen and I are getting away for Thanksgiving to Downtown Milwaukee, I booked the Hilton for T-DAY Thur and Friday nights, I have us booked for dinner at Mo's Friday night, but have no plans for the rest of the time.
What do you think we should do in the Downtown area?
Thanks Dustin

There are a number of options. Not sure if anything will be open on Thursday, but everything should be open on Friday...
- The Milwaukee Art Museum
- The new Discovery World Museum (lakefront)
- Grand Avenue Mall (but I personally wouldn't be close to there due to 'Black Friday' shopping!)
- The new Bayshore Mall in Glendale (north of downtown); supposed to be very cool (but see above warning about Friday)
- Third Ward area is really nice; maybe walk the streets if weather allows...
If you go to the malls, I suggest later at night...
Good luck, and enjoy!

I'll second the Milwaukee Art Museum
If weather is good: the Milwaukee County Zoo
With the opening of the new Bond movie, you may want to check out the spy-themed club: the Safe House
Shopping is going to be madness, but if you are game, you may also want to check out Mayfair Mall
You can take Brewery Tours as well. Here is the info on the Miller Brewery (and others) and the Sprecher Brewery tours.
Some German eats at Mader's or buy some brats at Usinger's
My parents have a place on Washington Island and they said this summer they consistently saw two MINIs on the island...you one of them?

Other Restaurant Options
A lot of people have said that the quality of food and service at Mo's isn't what it used to be. We would agree. Just a few other options in the same price range, but better quality food and service include:
Wauwatosa (15 minute drive) - Ristorante Bartolotta
Downtown - Bacchus
If you are seeking out steak specifically, check out:
Downtown - Coerper's
Brookfield (20 minute drive) - Mr. B's
Wauwatosa (15 minute drive) - Eddie Martini's
Downtown - Carnivor
Information about all of these restaurants can be found at: http://www.onmilwaukee.com - this website is also a great tool for happenings in the city and will let you know what is happening in town on Thursday and Friday in their weekly newsletter that will be posted on Wednesday.
Have fun in good ole Milwaukee! Be sure to check out one of the brewery tours that Tom mentioned above - fantastic experience. Miller Park may have walking tours available as well.

Thank You all for the tips, a few we are going to try and do. I'd say look for my MINI, but she'll spend the time in the hotel parking lot, while we use cabs.
