Car Control Clinic May 12th
I would, but as I'm still post surgery, so I can't drive yet. I did it last year and it was fun.
I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to know how your car performs. This won't prep you for a track day, but it will make you more confident on the road, in your car and in yourself. It's fun!
For those interested, details are here.

Have fun guys! Be sure to empty your car of all loose items as stuff will fly around (they even mentioned floor mats last year). Unfortunately there really isn't too much opportunity to take pictures during the course, so you may wish to leave your cameras behind. You spend part of the time sitting in a classroom setting and then in line for the hands on stuff. Besides, you don't want your cameras flying around in the car!
Don't forget to tank up as you will be burning a bit of gas. Another tip, you may wish to bring a folding chair to sit in during the class portion. Just checking out the site, it doesn't look like lunch is included, so you may wish to bring your own. (Too bad, because last year they had lunch, although I think the event was $40 vs $25 because of it.)
Again, have fun and wish I could join you!

Thanks for the tips, I checked and lunch is included for us, and I'll be sure to bring the chair. I think I'll bring the camera in case someone is there that could take pics of me and I of them, if the drive time works out that way.

Great event, if you were that today and driving a MINI I bet I have a pic of you driving, IM me your email address and I'll send you a link to the site.
It was oh so fun! Lots of MINIs and a variety of other cars too. I had a great time. If there are pics of me/my car I'd love 'em. I'd love to see photos of the other folks too. Please post some of them if you can. I'm Exira K in the very checkered DS/MCS. What a blast!
Ok, photos are up HERE .
I just slapped the page together, so please let me know if you encounter any problems. Click on the thumbnails for larger pix.
I know there are photos of Yellow's wife & TachnoGirl over there as well as many others from some of the Chicago clubs drivers.
I limited the file sizes, so if there is a particular shot or two that you would like in high res, PM me your e-mail address and the file name(s)...I'll send you a copy.

I only wish I could get a good pic of my front side walls. Think I needed more air, was running 35, maybe next time I'll run ???
Thanks MOE4me and ChicagoMini for taking and sharing photos. The day was a great learning experience, and so much FUN! I'm glad that there are some pics to look at today. It was nice to meet and talk with you all during the short time we had between the classroom and driving. I know I will be looking forward to next time! I know I can go faster in that little circle!
Actually, I was only able to sneak in while you guys were doing those runs. I saw you walking over to the instruction area, but I didn't want to yell across the lot.
Maybe I'll get a chance to say "hey" at the custard run in a couple of weeks.
