How about a row of roped off parking in front of the theater for the real celebrities of the movie.....our MINIs. Maybe a red carpet for them to park on? Besides... walking too far with a belly full of pizza can't be too good for you.

Ooooh, I wish I had a tad more vacation time. I am going to be up for the Cardinals game Friday night... Why couldn't they do this on Saturday? Oh well.
I guess I will wish you a good time!

Congrats Aaron on a fine article in today's St. Louis Post Dispatch - the picture of you driving down Brentwood is right on the front of the Everyday section. Quite a good sized article!
See you all tonight!

I read the article as well...very cool! Way to fly the flag aaron!
I think I'm going to come to the IJ opening tonight...i'm dealing with Dad-guilt because my 2 sons' first baseball games of the season are tonight also. I'm rationalizing that they both have, like, 15 more games that I shouldn't have any trouble making, so maybe they won't be permanently scarred by me missing this one for a car event...ugh.
Unfortunately, my wife WILL have to go to their games, so I won't be able to bring her so she can meet you all along with me...i'm sure I can get her to a club event one of these days. I'll be bringing a buddy that I work with...he's been anticipating the arrival of my MINI almost as much as I have. (he drives an Impreza WRX, and I've seen evidence of a friendly relationship--or, at least, rivalry--between the local WRX folks and us MINI motorers).

well, a last minute change of plans: looks like I'll be going to the kids' baseball games after all...enjoy the show, sounds like a fun time will be had by all! I'll see you all at the next club event...kids events permitting.

Wow! That was too much fun! It was great to meet other MINI owners as well as see a fun movie. Nice to meet you, LouiefromStLou!! It was really fun driving down Olive and seeing all of those MINI's. There was a Jeep that was yelling, "Go, Coops!".
I'm looking forward to more events. Hope to see some pictures of this event online. My camera's battery (grrrr) was DOA. Thanks to all who put this activity all together!
What a great time-hope to see you soon MiniLiner. Great food, great people, great movie, & great MINIs & Minis. Thanks MINI of St. Louis! It was so neat seeing all the MINIs & the little classics. Louie met his clone & came home with an antenna ball.

Yes, a good time was had by all. We arrived at MINI of St. Louis around 5:15 and there was already 50 or so cars there - the showroom was packed with people enjoying St. Louis' own IMO's pizza (I heard there were 75 pizzas!), soda, music, giveaways and more. About 6:00 one of the Motoring advisors stood on a chair and gave the signal to head out to the theatre. We had a good drive over to the show and were impressed with the sheer number of MINIs and Mini Coopers in attendance - an entire section of the parking lot was full. I didn't get a count but I would say it was over 100.
The show started right on time at 7:00 with a brief intro from the Sales Manager - welcoming everyone to the show. The movie was great, with lots of cheers from the audience everytime a MINI/Mini appeared on screen.
Much thanks are due to the STLMINI.com folks along with MINI of St. Louis and especially Laura Crosby who pulled the whole thing together.

First of all, a big thanks to everyone at MINI of St. Louis for putting on a great event! A great time was had by all. The St. Louis Mini Club is lucky to have such a fabulous dealer as a sponsor.
Second, thanks so much for the kind words on the Post-Dispatch article. I thought they did a very good job covering the reasons to get a MINI and love it. What great publicity for the dealer and the brand...plus now I have a newspaper article to laminate and frame! My 15 minutes are up now...
Lastly, if anyone has digital pictures from the Italian Job event, please e-mail them to me. I will post them on our web photo gallery.
