Hi, in GI here. Just got my 2005 MINI. Not too many in these parts but at least 4 in town I know of. Let us know if there are any MINI events in Omaha or elsewhere.

 

I live in Lexington. Mine an S named OXNARD. And then another S is in this town. We are a MINIority looking for others. I get your E-mails Cybre.

Hey!

I have In-Laws in Sioux City. I am there fairly often. Do you, by chance, own a red Cooper? I have seen that one parked at the mall there.

Also, there is a road trip being planned for the weekend of June 18th to go to King's Island for a Mini Cooper event opening the Italian Job roller coaster!

 

I have a Navy Blue MC. Also, coming up in June is the Awesome Biker Nights event on Historic 4th Street in Sioux City. June 17th and 18th. I know how to contact the organizer of the event if there are some MINI owners that would want to show up and "park" along the bikes. It might make for a good showing. Also, good networking. Just a thought.

New here, just checking in. I am waiting (not paitiently) for my PS/B MCS to get on the boat already!

I am also posting here to try and get in contact with other MINI owners in the Kearney area. Just saw a Red/Black MCS in Kearney this morning going up 2nd Ave from Hwy 30 to 39th street where I had to turn off. If you are aware of who this is PM me. It was a Buffalo County Plate. Would like to get a Tri-Cities group together. Anyone else interested let me know.

The MINI has been delivered. It was picked up on the 8th. Here is one of the pics I took in Denver on delivery day.

 

Very nice! I love the new xenon headlights. I have been trying to convince my wife to let me seell my 04 so I could get a new one. Hasn't worked yet!

I'm not IN Nebraska, but I visit there regularly. My wife was born and raised in Omaha, and we both got masters degrees from UNL.
This weekend I'm going through NE transporting my new Classic Mini back to Vegas from Cleveland. Look for a small red and black blur on I80 on Sunday.

Last time we were in Omaha (June 2005), I saw a newly imported classic Mini on a car trailer in Bellevue. Beautiful car. Anyone on here own it?

Zyamfier, I'd love to meet up with some MINI people, but I'm on a tight schedule. 2100 miles in a classic Mini in 3 days. Gotta get back to work.

I think you definitely SHOULD come to AMVIV though. We've had cars from much further away than NE the last couple of years. The more the merrier.
As an organizer, it's tiring, but it a blast. I was exhausted by the end, but I had a great time.

 

I would just merge on the Interstate with you. I have some non-MINI friends in Omaha that I should go see. That and I need the miles on the highway for break in. I will PM you tonight to see about plans. No need to respond. I am going back to work now also.

 

Anyone doing anything in the Lincoln/Omaha area this weekend? Looking to get out of the middle of nowhere. Hoping maybe to do something on Saturday. The new MINI is itching to make some more miles on the Highway.

I just took delivery of my AB/W MCS a couple weeks ago. Let's get a group of us to meet on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon somewhere and motor through the Loess Hills or somethin'

 

I had forgot to check this post. Seems it is the only active posting area on NAM for this area. Anyway, Congrats on your new wheels. I would be up for meeting some of the others in the Omaha Lincoln area sometime. I am only 2 hours away so just another drive.

We should set a date sometime this summer to get as many MINIs as we can at some location in Omaha for a gathering. I'm up the road in Sioux City, so in about an hour I can be motoring into town for a rally. That would be a good time.

I am up for this. Maybe meeting at the future MINI dealer. Someone should look into if they are planning a grand opening or some kind of pre dealer ceremony. We could all show up to welcome the new MINI dealership.

 

I hadn't heard that they were going to put an actual dealership down there! That's awesome! I'm totally in for doing something like that. I hope it works out that we can get something planned and put together.
