Yosemite / Lee Vining run Oct. 8th

We are having a run this Sunday, October 8th.

Start: 8am at the park and ride lot on Hwy. 41 and rd. 200. Its the Oneals/North Fork turn off. The lot is on the right hand side.

From there we will head into Oakhurst to pck up others along the way.
We will meet at the Starbuck's on 41, left hand side, a little past Hwy 49.

Then we will head through Yosemite, $20 entry fee, go over Tioga pass and into the town of Lee Vining.

The destination is a Mobil Gas Station for lunch. The chef from Mamoth Ski Resort cooks up gormet meals in the off season.

Anyone interested, I will be at the Starbuck's at Shaw just east of 41 at 7am.
I will be leaving there by 7:15am or so if anyone wants to caravan to the meeting spot.

Brad

From your scheduling I would expect that you would get to Starbucks in Oakhurst about 8:20 unless there is a snafu at the park and ride. If your going 41 to the park (south entrance) I will come over from Mariposa and get there no later than 8:30. If your going 140 through I will wait for you at Mariposa fairgrounds. Of course that is if everyone is on schedule, but since I don't know how you guys are for schedules I will wing it.

Should be a great and glorious day with maybe some snow here and there!

We will be taking 41 into the park. The exact time we leave the park and ride lot will be determined by how long it takes everyone to get there

We won't wait to long, unless someone calls saying there going to be late. If nothing else, they can meet us in Oakhurst

I have to go north of 135, so it won't be easy... Well, it will be easier than road 600 where I made the last one....

I'm looking forward to this trip. Except for the fact I will have to wake up at o'dark:30 while the sprinklers are running and the paper person comes around.

We should have good weather and have a nice ride if all the fall color photographers wearing hats and driving Buicks -don't take over.

Whoo Hoo.......I'll be there TOO 'n it will definitely be "0'dark:30" for me as well But should be fun........haven't been that way through the Park in "can't remember when" Must be too many "Black 'n Tan's" It will be good to see the old "homestead" having grown up in Lee Vining as a wee lad. + it's high time to blow the cob webs out of the SC. Plan the be in Oakhurst by 8-8:15am with GPS 'n radio all charged up. Remember to keep the rubber side down..................
See you then..

I received an email from George of SoCal MINI Maniacs. He and his wife are motoring through the area this weekend and would like to meet up with us also.
Cheers,

I'll be up in Lee Vining tomorrow at the Whoe Nelley Deli (mobil station) sighting some cameras to view Mono Lake. (work related). Unfortunatly I have to be in So-Cal this weekend, so I wont be able to join in.

The weekend of the 22-3 I'll be heading to the Yosemite Valley for a couple of days......

Have fun guys (and gals)

Nik

Oh man, I can't go.

I have yet to go on a run or a meeting. Every time there is something is going on where I can't make it. Blah. Aside from this being a work weekend, my aunt is here visiting and I don't see how I can slip away for 8+ hours.
