Your AMVIV followup

So good to meet all you MidCal members. What a turnout of north state Mini's.Anyone who has photos, please post. I only have print film. Good time had by me despite overheating my Mini. Changed plans after getting on I-15 and turned around and went back home to Tahoe Monday. I hate freeway traffic. Scooby03, how was return trip for you? Looking forward to my 4th trip to AMVIV. Glenn

The trip back was great. Nice twistie drive. Would have been better, but they sanded the road, so we had to go slow on part. May drive that way next year. Death Valley was cool, never been that wat before.
Will make it to your area, if the weather ever changes.
I didn't take many pictures this year. Met a lot of new people though.
We also ran the Pub out of beer, but that is another story.
Grat time and ready for next year.

MidCal Mini's had 10 cars, and also won the 2 top prizes.

M7 intercooler, and under strut system.

Great time had by all.

Brad

Brad,
Maybe we should warn the bar ahead of time so they can "adjust" the quantity needed...... Next time I'll let you or Steve lead........or not.. Hopefully Blake didn't get into too much trouble with his dad.

I will find out this weekend if he is in trouble, if not before.

You did a good job of leading.

When you turned the right way that is.

You're lucky you left early! We left Vegas (on 15/Trop) at 12pm and got home at 11:15pm... long drive w/ a lot of traffic!

On the trip down, we made it in 9hrs with an hour of traffic on 15 outside of Barstow...

How did I not get to meet Scooby3?? Or the rest of you? Maybe because I didn't go on any runs. There's always next year (and NAM).

Batgirl Wildcat,

You won't have to wait until next year. There are plenty of runs and events planned over the next several months. I have a MINI events list. If you send me your email, I'll add you t the list. My email is norm@redwoodempiremini.com.

We went on a few runs, most of the time you could find us in the Pub, running them out of beer.
I'm also a SoCal member. I drive down for rns at times. Just look for Scooby on the roof.

The official nesting place for MidCal was the Irish pub at the Palace Station. When not on runs or BS-ing on the top of the parking structure we could be found there. Definitely more time in the pub than sleeping.

You guys were so funny, I went to take a nap one day and there were four or five of you standing in the parking lot (William, Weaveeg, Scooby and others) I must have napped for about an hour, and when I woke up you were all still there. I am assuming you were still talking about you MINIs. Just made me laugh . Anyway thanks to everyone Trey and I had the best time.

Yeah, and on Monday, Trey actually got to park on top.

Allright. I'm not in trouble, but I got lectured on fast driving. Lol. I was going slow. O well, as long as he thinks I thought that was "fast and irresponsible" I will be ok. Hell, he is condoning track days. THat means he will pay for them

Out of what?????

So remind me again.......how does an IrishPub run out of .......???? and We would never think about talking into the wee hours about MINI's....would we?? Trying to put my house back together....pulled everything out of the bedrooms and living room to have the floors re-done before I left....not even a bed to sleep on last night....but have that handled for tonight. And hopefully will have the home c'putr up and running tomorrow so I don't have to run down to the office to keep up with this mindless madness.... Sure can be addicting....be well my friends And may the force be with you..

It was a awesome trip to Las Vegas, it was good to hang out with you guys. Myself, Brad, Steve, and Blake were the car nuts talking about cars for hours at night on roof even though it was warmer inside. The biggest thrills that weekend were the stratosphere ride, high speed run down the Strip and the baddest burn out. The hot blonde in the red cooper S was cool too!

Well, I guess we must have lost a little credibility with your dad, too. We were going just as fast and he was hoping that we would be a good influence on you. Oops!
