A Big Thanks
To all of the MidCal folks that are heading out tomorrow be safe, AMVIV will not be the same without those that were unable to attend. Nick glad your finally home, slow down of the expresso's.
While at AMVIV we saw this blue car with Custom Mini Shop stickers on it, then we realized that Steve had gotten his car cleaned

Sorry that not all of MidCal could make it but it was nice to see more arrive today

Thanks for a great weekend in Vegas. Were already planning on next years trip. Lemoore crew is safely home hope everyone else makes it in one piece without the blue light special.
Neil,
Suzie said to tell you that if your at the next meeting you can have your horn back. Something about her tooting your horn just sounds wrong

Jim so now your finally legal, at least half way now that you have reflective material on the back of the car now you just need a "platapus" to fix the other problem with the front

What else is going down in MidCal-land? Anybody come back with some ideas for their car? New direction to head with mods? I'm **really** digging the CF cowl scoops & boot handle. Great work Chief!
Saving my pennies etc for the next mods. I think a new sway bar for me and springs for Suzie. Might have to wait till I get back in a few months. Fracky I'm glad you waited to install the cowl scoops or they would have blown out on the way to AMVIV the way they were originally designed. Back to work in two days at which time I will find out when I leave for Japan.
We made it back safe, but I personally found the new location to be extremely boring........We needed to be closer to the Strip or at least have a Suttle service back and forth.....
Survived AMVIV
Cheers,
Martin
Hey Steve, thought you might find this post interesting. It is on Motoring Alliance. How did you do Frackys PSRS install? It looks like a lot of people are welding them in

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I just installed my PSRS.
However, the welder didn't work, so we had to install it with red loctite alone, and surprise surprise, the set screws came loose and the knocking/rattling ensued.
Can anyone who has taken the arm/bushing off and welded the arm onto the sleeve let me know how they went about it?
Thanks,
Elie

Dr.Steve, my bearing on the side which wasn't replaced is creating quite a racket. Can we replace it when you have a moment? Also, gotta get my a/c recharged. I'm a lucky guy to have Cookie - anyone else woulda choked me out from the misery. Shoot, I almost choked myself out it was so horrible.

I thought that's what windows were made for
Try driving the Grapevine in August, 115 degrees outside, a roadside fire due to an Amtrak Bus fire, Interstate 5 with lanes in both directions narrowed down to one lane each way and driving your sister's nearly new MINI, solo and with a clutch to boot, on the uphill grade through Castaic. I just knew the fire would bubble the paint, the clutch would burn out with all of the stop and go traffic, the radiator would boil over and someone would rear end me because their foot would slip off their brake due to lack of feeling in their numb foot. Between my eyes burning from the smoke, my clutch leg getting the shakes and the sweat running down her nearly new interior, I had the joy of passing through Castaic for nearly two hours at a whopping speed of five miles per hour! Once or twice we whipped it up to nearly 10 mph. Given that her MINI does not have a temperature gauge, I turned off the air and ultimately opened the window to welcome in the fire warmed air. Needless to say, after tax season, the plan is to have Dr. Steve install a temperature gauge and oil pressure gauge. Next time, as long as the the gauges give me the green light, that A/C is staying on!
Wow the month off has gone by quickly and today it's back to work for me. I'm hoping that I will be here for Casa Corona tomorrow and I should find out today. For those of us with the Ipod Touch or the "Iphone" using the application Mini Link I have added a hot spot for shopping at CMS. Along with an event at Casa Corona tomorrow. Check and see if you can view these items and maybe someone can tell me how to make my location a little more accurate as I see my car in Fresno while I'm actually in Lemoore

Summer is coming so visit Dave or you'll dehydrate (might cut down on the number of pee breaks, though.)
