Yeah, I don't like the riveted look at all. Somebody in the Fresno area should be able to cut louvers into the hood, I hope. Though, I have been looking at a carbon fiber hood.
Steve
Cut enough holes and you will drop the weight anyway .

Now you just need to convince the carbon fiber hood manuf. to add the louvers
We could always take out to the shooting range and have a fun club event
I have a shotgun with "00" buck shot. That should do the trick and put enough holes with one shot to give the engine plenty of air. If that doesn't work maybe I could borrow a 50 caliber machine gun.
I've looked at those too but they're all 90 degrees...the one that worked (although not as large openings as I wanted) was the M7's version that I installed...and that was after a lot of trimming to the outer contour to fit the Mini's curves...
Hey Fracky, you said something about moving the nitrous switches up to the dash area, but I can't remember where and if you wanted the purge button moved also. They look like they are glued to their current location so the down tube may need to be replaced. Let me know. Thanks.
Steve
New down-tubes are ok because the ones I have are pretty hammered. I attached an old picture of Msfitoy's guage cluster & it'd be sweet to have NO2 switch here. As far as the purge button, I'll leave that to you. You can use one of the "carbon" switches which aren't being used anymore. Sorry, I wasn't able to respond sooner. NAM was down every time I tried to check out what's going on. Hope y'all are having lots of fun this weekend!!
That is just a blank spot. You could easily put one there...
