That's sid's dash... Its the easiest place to mount them. I had to drill 2 holes in the tiny piece of plastic reserved for the oem driving light switch...
I'm running over to the body shop to get a quote on the pannels I will ask them while I'm there.... I know there are some amazing hot rod shops here in detroit which will do it.

Somehow, I don't think I'm going to send my hood to Detroit. I'm sure it can be down, but at what price? I do like the idea, though, because it's so clean. Where did Sid, or you, mount the purge button? Thanks.

Mine was push button mounted to the right of the four toggles you see in the lower left...

Thanks. He currently has it mounted to the left down tube. I'll see what else I can think of. Where did you mount the control box? I moved his from the engine compartment to behind the glovebox inside the car.

Yeah, I don't like the riveted look at all. Somebody in the Fresno area should be able to cut louvers into the hood, I hope. Though, I have been looking at a carbon fiber hood.
