Sir Nigel got rear ended...AGAIN!!

This time I was at work, and Nigel was parked on the street where we catch our vanpool. I got a call from an off duty C/O who knows me and my MINI. He witnessed Nigel's accident and got a hold of me @ work.
Time to call the insurance...
Cheers,
Michele

ouch... that looks like it hurt. Looks like the offending car was moving pretty fast. Did they catch the perp?

Sorry to see Sir Nigel's damage.

Damn!!! That's not rear-ended, that's attacked! I hope it isn't hit and run with the perp gone without a trace!

You got that right........ Hopefully, your "witness" got the plate/discription for the police so they can HANG THEIR ***....of course only after you get 5min alone with him/her so you can "discuss" the situation in a NOT so polite manner.
Hope it all works out.

Sorry to hear that Sir Nigel is being picked on again. Did he have a chance to fight back? I think you need two Mini's. One for a back up.

The guy was resposible enough to stay at the scene and wait for the cops. Luckily he has insurance.
The cop told me later that Nigel was pushed 125 feet from the point of impact. He was hit by a Dodge Durango

You're going to have to check for drivetrain damage since it was pushed so far. You should also have flat spots on your tires. Was it driveable?

Man - pushed 125 feet! That is f-ed up. The way I see it the rear axle, frame, totaled. I'd be looking for a new vehicle.

Really sorry about Sir Nigel. Hang in there.

I'd lay 10-1 odds the car is not totaled. You have to remember today's technology with unibody cars and what they can do in body shops, even if the frame is damaged, it can be repaired without being totaled.

I'd say the damages are about $6,500. Not nearly enough to be declared a total loss.

Dang! That would've hurt if you'd been in it! What a sad sight that must be.

A sad sight...but I, too, believe Sir Nigel shall ride again, better than ever. Nothings more lovable than a MINI that takes one on the chin and keeps you safe, only to come back for more.

At least the other driver took responsibility.

Poor Nigel, he's had a rough life, hopefully you will get him up and running just like new

Bummer

Well... if it's totaled, get a good rear half and mate into your good front half, and wa-la a limo.

You're lucky the perp stuck around. Was he on the cell phone at the time of crashing? I'm going to ask everyone who posts about accidents.

OH Michelle, I'm so sorry.

I feel so bad for Sir Nigel.
I'm really glad to hear that you were not in the car.

I'm glad the guy stuck around and took responsibility.

I'd have mixed emotions as to whether or not he will be declared a total loss or not. It will work out the way it's supposed to.

Good Luck, keep us posted please.
