So what's Jana "growing" then, hmmm? C'mon - it's SO fun. And the way the Miata guys run it, they break the field into two groups. When I did it, we had lunch between "sets". Oh, and I did help them work the track for about 20 minutes as a starter when my group was idle. We really had little time for sitting around, especially if you're running a "two driver" setup - you have just enough time to swap drivers, adjust your helmet and then you're back on the track. I maybe you thought I was asking you to come SPECTATE? No - I think you should DRIVE it! Chick0rz driving fast is H4WT!
You should see me out there at a couple events with them. Of course, I'll be in the Miata most likely. I'll have to come up with a plan to be able to effectively autocross both the MX-5 and the Cooper S once I get it. C-Stock is SOOOO competetive, I don't know if I wanna get away from it, or could afford to leave the class for even one event in OVR this year....I need all the points I can get if I'm going to finish in the points....
Lots of fun, don't let my competetiveness make it sound like work!

What miata do you have? I run with the miata club in a red '94 miata (#4 CSP). Occasionally, I run my indi blue '04 S (#177 STX). We just had our first event on sunday and about 25 cars were there. Got 10 runs in with a lunch break and we we're home by 4pm. Come out and join us!

I have a 2000 LS, Midnight blue Mica with the tan top. But hopefully you won't see the top up! I'm #5cs. I'm going to try to make the June 10th date. I need to get out to WOR events as well this year. More seat time is more seat time!
Bumping this for the June 10 date... Hopefully we can get a good MINI turn-out. If you think you'll be going chime in so I can let the Miata guys know we're coming. I know they give preference to members if the day is busy, but i the past they actually ASKED us to come, so they could get enough cars to pay for the space rental.
Darn, I didn't realize that was today. I used my free day yesterday to go to the Fayette County fairgrounds & shoot antique sprint cars on the dirt track. Then wandered all over southern Ohio trying to get a Sumburger.
Today it's catch up on yard work & do a nut & bolt check on the MINI in preparation for Fridays fun day.
I'll try & make the next one.

Just reminding everyone there is another autocross this Sunday. Same place as always. It will be my first autocross with the Alta PSRS installed instead of a couple busted worn out front control arm bushings, so I hope to see some better times.
Cooper99 it was nice meeting you and your friend (he seemed to be having a good time).
Everybody else you missed out, Z06 rides! Big fun in a big HP car. And watch your keys when Cooper99 is around every time I looked he was driving someone else's Mini

It was nice finally meeting you Allen. Hopefully the other two Mini enthusiasts will come to the next Outmotoring breakfast (Yuriy and Denny). Denny is a great candidate for crashton's Old Fart Motoring Club
.
I got to drive their Mini Cooper S's because they each thought they had something wrong with theirs. Denny thought his 2nd gear was hard to engage in his recently purchased 2002 MCS and felt maybe something was wrong. I drove Denny's 02' MCS around the course and 2nd gear shifted smoothly, but the car definitely had an odd clutch. Denny shifted really hard into second gear the next run and completely pulled off his shift ****! haha
Then I drove Yuriy's 2005 bone stock MCS because he wanted to see how much faster I was than him; it was his first autocross and he is Russian and knows almost absolutely nothing about cars or driving. However, being around all of us, he is learning quick.
My best time in my 03' MCS: 45.20
Yuriy's best time in his 05' MCS: 52.98
My time in Yuriy's 05' MCS: 48.8ish
My time in Denny's 02' MCS: 49.0ish
Their cars really need a stiffer rear sway bar and a 15%; my car drives completely different. I also really liked the 05's MCS's 6 speed getrag.
Even though I had decent times today, my car felt like crap. I have those 2 dry rotted front control arm bushings that make the car feel sloppy and loose. I was supposed to get the Alta PSRS installed Saturday night, but my friend left his BMW bushing removal tool in Canton, so he drove out there to pick it up...blah blah blah... and we didnt get it installed. So watch out at the next autocross (July 29th) for a lot faster times...
Yes the Z06 was beastly; it reminded me of a modern day Knight Rider with a lot more power. My favorite car was that red 2005 S4. Bone stock, with 3 passengers + driver, all season tires, and the A/C on at full blast, it ran a 46.91! I was in the backseat that run and I was honestly a little scared.
Anyway I'm definitely looking foward to the next Autocross (July 29) and the Outmotoring breakfast this Saturday. I might make Aaron an offer on a used bbk and coilover set he has laying around the shop...see you all then.

The best thing about the ZO6 was that their times driving it were only a couple of seconds faster than mine in a regular Cooper! Sure did not feel that way inside the Vette. My best lap was the one I had to run from the Vette to my car because there was only one car inbetween our runs (the adrenalin was flowing!)
