:: MODfest 5 :: June 17th @ OutMotoring Columbus Ohio

Are you ready? Get on the list, we have 2-3 interested in pullies already and should have a schedule together shortly!

Please reply to this forum if you need some goodies installed!

http://www.outmotoring.com/Out_motor...969#post839969

Here's the days schedule:

8:30-10 ish at Tim Hortons
10-12 Jason and Kim Haddix 15% pulley
10:30-11:30 Detail Clinic at Out Motoring
12-2 -Jason Dang 17% Pulley
10-1 overlap install in bay 2 of Chris's 15% pulley and intake on MCSA

Let me know if you want to get something installed. We have 2 mechanics running at once with 2 lifts so we can double up schedules if needed.

Install fees for pullies are 195. Intake install is free if done at the same time.
Let us know ASAP if you're interested. We should have 2-3 slots left open during mid morning and early afternoon.

WE will also be hosting local MINI fiend and friend Ted Hersey who a detail master who will be doing a show and tell/wash and wax demo on a MINI. He will also be recommending cleaning supplies and accessories that make the job better. I've had him detail my personal cars and he's done a fantastic job and he has years of experience catering to the luxury car market so his wisdom is certainly worth learning from. Come by and hang out after MINI Mornin's Breakfast!! The detail show should start right at 10:30-ish.

I'll try to make this- have questions about the AUX audio port installation, the Alta Rally-style driving lights and how to keep the rag top on my orange convertible looking nice when winter finally arrives.

I'm thinking of making MODfest a sort of Car Show/Tech Day/Swap Meet as it continues to grow. There's been lots of people asking for used wheels, misc parts and such so I thought making MODfest a monthly MINI meet with this kind of stuff would help make it bigger and better. we've got the whole parking lot (front and back) on the weekends so we have plenty of room. Got some used S-lites or some springs, sway bars, mirror caps, etc? Bring em.

That sounds like a great idea... If you had it after the breakfast meeting, I'd swing by- the meeting place is right near your shop, isn't it, Aaron?

Will parts be available for purchase?

I would like to have the 15% pulley and CAI installed but need a few questions answered before this happens.

I have an '05 MCS automatic (yeah I know) and have heard the CAI and pulley upgrades should not be performed on the automatic. Is this true?
Has anyone had any warranty issues with these modifications? I currently have 12,000 miles - Is this too soon?

IMagox:
Yes, we are right up the street from the Tim Hortons where we do the MINI Mornins' Breakfast every third sat...

CMY: yes, we can do a 15% pulley and intake on your automatic...I've never heard any negatives about doing mods on the automatic other than it is a more challenging install than the 6 speed....I would go for it. I have not heard of or experienced any issues with doing a 15% pulley....I still get warranty work done at MAG and they don't care about the pulley....

I would be happy to talk with you some time so you can get an idea of what will be best for your needs. Email me your phone number...

We have a few openings for Saturday assuming we have two lifts open....worst case is your car slides to mid to late afternoon.....although with it being an automatic I would want to give it some extra time to work through the install...

We had a really great time on Saturday at the Mini Mornins' Breakfast and the MODfest at Out Motoring! It was really nice to meet everyone and see everyone's Mini! The detail clinic was great! We picked up a lot of great hints! We are already looking forward to the next event!
