Hello all! Reminder that this wednesday is our monthly Polaris area get together...Sonic is usually the venue. Does anyone else have a different spot they'd like to go to?

I'm suggesting we go next door to Red Robin for some food and maybe a little warmth. Is it supposed to be nice on wed? We could always Sonic first and those who want to could stay for some grub.

Thoughts?!?!

Let's do Sonic first and then go from there. I met the owner of Cantina Laredo at MAG today. His restaurant is across from the Pub in Polaris and he would love to host us once a month. He has a private room and he would reserve the valet area for MINI's only. The Ferrari Club is now meeting there and it's working good for them. Something to discuss on Wednesday evening. Oh yea...I'll be there too!!

We can also throw Rt 66 Grill into the mix for winter -- when there's no biker night. There's a pool table room we can have. Wide range of menu items.

I think it will be nice tomorrow (71 degrees) so Sonic sounds good. I'll be there... now getting in reverse single-handedly!

 

We can't make it. Our son is coming over & I'll be looking at the underside of his Civic doing my Dad the mechanic impersonation. I'd rather do Sonic, but Dad duty comes first.

Nice meeting all you guys and gals. It was a fun time, I got some good ideas for initial mods and everyone was very friendly. I hope to be a regular at these meets but felt kinda out of place with justacooper, lol

 

Glad you could make it...welcome to the group. You'll find out quickly that there are just as many justacoopers hanging with us as S's and JCW's. You just hit a night when the only other justa was Allen. Keep it coming.

 

Mitch I was glad to have another just a Cooper, please keep coming back. Don't worry most of the S drivers need the extra power to feel good about themselves And there are a few others in the group, so you are not stuck with just me.

 

Dosn't matter if is's an S or Just-a-Cooper - the important thing is that you love the car. The thing I love most about Mini/MINI people is that everyone thinks THEIR car is the best one at the show.

 

i tend to like other cars better at shows, but thats a bank account issue lol

I know of no one who believes they belong to the club called the compressor elite. We all love the Coopers cause they are so cute.

For me the real fun about a MINI S or Justa is the nimbleness & toss-ability. On a twisty road it is not power that makes a MINI fast. Power is nice, but handling is better me thinks.

 

Sorry I missed meeting you Mitch. Maybe at breakfast if we get home in time from our BRP romp.

As far as mods go you can't go wrong with handling mods. A rear swaybar & some decent rubber will get you started.

 

Heck I just bought my S because I liked the hood scoop!!
