Looks like I'm EMPLOYED!!!
Got an offer yesterday from a silicon valley software company, and it looks like my 6 month "vacation" from work will be ending on the 14th!! Yaay!! Thanks to everyone that sent me recommendations and contacts - while nothing panned out from them, it was a wonderfully thoughtful gesture.
Now I can get those Mini/MININ parts I've had on my wish list since March!

I had a boss that used to detail his car while on conference calls.
22 years working from home... I totally agree to all of these!
Plus:
- set hours for yourself, including a lunch break
- get out for lunches - with people
- get a dog or two for company
- make sure you get in some "staff retreats" aka... naps!

Haven't taken a "retreat" in a while though.
No pets for me... I'm on the phone all day, so...

It's nice because it's the same product that I worked on at my last job, so I will hit the ground with previous experience.
Congrats to you !!
Not to hijack your good fortune thread but it's been 1 Year for me and I'm still looking. Anybody want to throw some suggestions please have at it.
I have 8 years experience in VB/COM+/ASP and transitioned this app over to .Net with 2 years of .Net experience.
I am looking to relocate PA, OH, VA, WV, MD

Are you on LinkedIn? All my applications basically went nowhere (most didn't even give me the courtesy of a "no thank you") and EVERY interview I got was via a direct recommendation, most from LinkedIn. Any published job opening right now gets so flooded with applicants that I think you basically get lost in the pile (felt like I did anyway...)
Good luck!!!
Good luck!!!
No I'm not LinkedIn and yeah I have gotten the same runaround, BS, no replies, etc. I don't even get feedback + or - from the couple of interviews that I have had.
