wow, that is something I do not wish to experience. Glad that you are ok. That was on my mind driving in the dark through the mountains when I picked up my car last week.
Last July, leaving Colorado into New Mexico, a baby deer (fawn?) ran in front of our MCSC. My wife and daughter were asleep. I had to break hard, swerve left, and then right to avoid the little guy. It was like a matador and bull. We all escaped safely, Bambi included.
In retrospect it seems kind of funny, little car, little deer.
Did you get your car fixed that quickly? My soninlaw has been hit twice in the last year. Both times the car was off the road for more than a month waiting parts. They have our X3 at the moment while the car is in the shop following the second accident. Because they now live in Cleveland with all of its snow, don't think I'll see that car again until spring.<G

My car wasn't hit by a deer, but Mother Nature creamed it with a falling tree last Spring during an ice storm. My insurance company [Allstate] advised that I take it to a Car Star [a national company] for repair, as they guarantee their repairs for the life of the car as long as you are the owner. They did a fantastic job, and in less than a week's time. I'm pretty certain that this is the place I'll be headed to in the future [hopefully not, but ya never know]. They had even detailed the car inside and out when I went to pick it up.
