A chat with Peter from M7

I am out in LA for some training so I thought that I take the opportunity to stop by Peter's place to check it out and see what new toys I could get for my Mini. I was able to sit down and chat with Peter for a while and I was really impressed on how he operates his business. It seemed like his number one concern was developing a quality product with a factory fit and backing that up with good customer support.

It was very obvious that Peter and his group of mad scientists spend an extensive amount of time on R&D prior to marketing their products. While we were talking about some of the new parts that he will be coming out with within the next few days/weeks, he was showing me some of the test versions that he had used for several months prior to coming up with the final version. I was amazed on how much thought and detail he puts into each one of his parts. I know that Peter has some pretty radical products and he sometimes gets a lot of flack for what he has to say about them, but after having the opportunity to talk to him today I understand where he is coming from.

It is your own personal opinion if you are a fan of M7 or not but from what I have experienced so far I have never ran into any problems with form, fit, or function with any of his M7 products. That is a heck of a lot more than I can say for some of his competitors parts, which have required extensive irreversible modification and several add-ons to cosmetically correct the modification afterwards. It is just my own opinion and take it at that, my own opinion, Peter and his mad scientists may be a little out of the ordinary but isn't that normal for a Mini owner? Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule Peter. I was very impressed and I am looking forward to installing a few more of your parts on my Mini once I get back to Columbus.

Heck, let it fly. I don't care. I recently got a part from a well known manufacturer and it quickly became a huge nightmare for me. When I confronted their tech people on how to fix the eyesore they suggested that I buy an additional part through M7 to correct the design problem of the well known manufacturers part. Knowing what I do now, after installing the inferior part that obviously had little R&D done on it, I wished I would have went with the M7 version of the product instead of the other manufacturers part. Like I said earlier, everyone has their own opinion and I am just sharing mine.

Now going after another, aren't you one of the ones that reports a lot of posts where people go after you or M7. Karma is not going to be your friend.

I have to. He makes me. Something about life insurance and trust. But lets not get sidetracked from the impending discussion. I am sure it will only get better.

The only really thing I like about M7 when I use to buy stuff from them was their fast shipping and the great customer service. Talking to whoever I needed to give my CC info and not Peter himself. I have never been to their shop and since you gone and seen all the " mad scientists ", I am curious to know what they are testing and why we do not know anything about them or their (( results.)) Based on the amount of posts you have, it looks like you haven't really realized with how they market their products and have no proof to back any of it up. It looks like to me Peter was just trying to fry someones brain out and have you spend a good amount of money on their products while you are brain washed. Now I did have experience with Randy, and I will tell you that Randy is not a BS guy, and a sales person like Peter is. Peter should be selling used cars in my opinion.

I bought from M7...

I got a strut tower brace and cf splitter from him before I even got my car. I'll have to say they fit perfectly and were top quality. Buying blind, I must give them credit for flawless products at least in my experience.

Mr. and Mrs. SoCal, first of all this post was meant for the Mid-Ohio group of which I did not know that you were a member of so please feel free to move on.

Second, It is great that you are both willing to voice your opinion but hopefully you should have enough education to know that you should also offer a solution to the problem, or better yet build a better mousetrap. Can you please wow us with some of your recent worldly creations?

Third, yes I am new at posting here but I have been reading NAM for the past few years and I am well aware of your hi-jinks. I choose not to post here as often as others because of people like you.

And finally, I apologize that I am not a prestigious 6th gear member like yourself but I have better things to do in my life than get my fulfillment through flaming people on a message board. Personally I would much rather be enjoying my Mini or spending time talking with other people who enjoy doing the same. For some reason I thought that was the principle idea of this message board? The reason why I seldom post is because I made the decision years ago to join the military and defend our country, because of that I am always gone. Unfortunately that also means that I have to defend the rights of unique individuals such as yourself.

Please Mr. and Mrs. SoCal, go back to your avocado sandwich and let us adults have a conversation here.

Oh, I did notice that both of you are more than willing to take jabs at M7 but yet you both have M7 parts on your car. Hmmm....

Thank you and have a nice day.

Not sure who you are referring to with your 6th gear comments. My husband is no longer allowed to post here courtesy of the management. But being a retired Army guy himself he would probably tell you that he already fought to protect his own rights and mine so at ease and drive on.. Of course being in the military you are used to being brainwashed so you probably were easy pickings for the likes of Peter.

You notice I have M7 parts on my car? OK, Mr. Observation, what parts?

P.S. And do you seriously consider yourself an adult with all the little amateur personal shots in your post? Step away from the cup. The KoolAid is tainted.

JCWORKZ there is a thin line that separates a good salesman from a con artist. A con artist is a smooth talker and generally likable. They gain your trust, and then prey on you. Watch out.

Thankfully I have no idea about all this old hostility that has obviously built here. But for the record on the IP check request JCWORKZ lives in central Ohio and comes to our events so I know him and appreciate his story of meeting a respected Mini vendor.

The SoCal contingent here is doing an excellent job of making me glad I live in the mid-west where we do not spend our time searching other people's business just to attack someone. Is it not bad enough that you have perfect weather out there why can't you just relax you dont like M7 stuff we got the point 10 posts ago.
