Parade aftermath

Well, for those of you not at the parade, my "little sis" passenger, Becky, became the NANO CAR driver since we had more cars than drivers. Well, she is all about finding a cabrio now. She's ruined... Her Jetta is just not the same.
So, if anyone knows of one for sale, let me know.

Photos of the day are on my NAM gallery.

The best part of that Autotrader ad is the call out for: Fuel Type-Gasoline. I guess as opposed to what? Lamp oil? Banana peels?

A MINI fueled by banana peels would be quite a hit with the silverbacks!

I think PW may be the most popular LAME color. I also think Hypertension Blue is the rarest.

Especially if you got the optional Flux Capacitor. Now is that a JCW add-on or a dealer install?

I really eyed the green one at Dave Walters ,but with the motorcycles we decided I'd probably never use the convertible if it's that nice out we'll be on the bikes ...
So found the S with less miles and bought it instead ...

She just wrote me that she saw a silver one there (no, not a silverback or a banana boat ). We'll see what she's up to. I'll keep you informed.

Hi Everyone!
It's Becky, the Jetta owner! I'd like to thank Matt and Kara for ruining my perfectly good Jetta, almost paid off!!

I have a couple questions...what kind of gas to you put in the Mini? I have to put premium in the Jetta b/c it is a Turbo...I'd love to switch to regular or silver!

Also, be honest, how do they handle in the snow? The Jetta is the BEST car I have ever driven in the snow. Didn't give me any problems during the blizzard.

Thanks for any info you have...hopefully I'll be the proud Mommy of a Mini soon!

I have a Cooper and I use mid grade gas. As for snow, I was out in the blizzard and the only problem I had was in a parking lot that was not plowed or driven in. I basically plowed it while I drove. I did have to back up and go around a pile I had created. I live in the snow belt on the East Side of Cleveland, we have a lot of snow. I do not have snow tires but I do plan to get them next year. I just got my Cooper and I was extremely surprised at how well it has handled in the snow.

Welcome to NAM

You will need high test gas for a MINI especially an S model.

They do well in the snow. I run 4 snow tires & have had no problems.
