I just registered. Thursday night Spaghetti dinner and Monte Carlo night, the Friday night dinner, the Brew Swap, and the Farewell dinner. I'm also trying to put together a strong Beerlympics team with some of my old friends from back home since we get a lot of "practice" being in college.

What day and time do you all (Wellzy & Reboopie) plan to arrive?

And Carve, what's up with you? When are you heading down?

I just registered too. Thurs & Fri dinners and of course Brew Swap, no gambling, I have no luck. I could help coach a team for the Beerlympics not sure I have enough time for training. I won't be leaving until 4/30 pm.

Still UnDecided

We're still debating if we're going to head down there this year. We have the time off, have made arrangements to camp...
BUT the Wife's best friend is getting married on that Sat, and since my wife is in the wedding, we have to be at the rehersal dinner on Friday @ 6pm...SO basically, we'd be down there for a small portion of the time.

Trying to decide if it's worth me spending the money on registrations, and the couple of drives/parties we could make ...OR just buy something fun for the MC!

We might just wait until next year and make sure we make the WHOLE EVENT...but after reading everyone's posts about MOTD...I'm really wishing I will be able to change the date of the wedding for the friend now!!

What time do you plan on heading out? Maybe the 3 of us can head down together. We would have red, white and blue for the Italian Job! Of course Mark is making jokes about us only having a Cooper. Maybe we should travel without him.

You need to remind him that "just a Cooper" uses less petrol. Your insurance should be cheaper too considering his history with vehicles I'll pm you about a departure time,

I registered my wife and me today. She and I are attending all the dinners. I am co-sponsoring the Cigar Sampling Salon with MKO and Inioway right after the Welcome Dinner on the Dam Room Porch. And, last but certainly not least, my MC is competing in the Car Show. We are leaving for Fontana on April 29, and are returning on May 4.

Are any of you planning on leaving together and making a small Mini caravan? I'm trying to leave Columbus by 5:00pm Wednesday. Anyone else leaving Wednesday or Thursday?

This is not true, the person who owned the car before me only got 400 miles per tank. It is coming up quickly. As for insurance, when I called to add mine they ask if we had had another acccident. We = Mark. He acts like a bittty, . Maybe if he drove like a little old lady his insurance would go down!!!!!!!!!

I *think* I'm leaving Tuesday (might be Wednesday) and swinging down through Columbus to meet up with a group coming down from Indy if anyone wants to tag along.

You'll probably fly on by my wife and me, then, as we are taking a sane approach down I-75 this year. Besides, we plan to have that delicious BBQ at Sonny's, in Corbin, KY, around lunchtime. That should get us through Knoxville and onto US 129 well before afternoon rush hour, I hope.

We are planning to make Cincinnati our halfway point from Rochester NY to MOTD. IF there is a caravan meeting up in Ohio we would love to join if we are welcome =). We are leaving Tuesday after work and will be leaving from Ohio on Wed morning (30th). I will have the GPS with me so finding a meeting spot shouldnt be difficult. Thx! (I copied and pasted this from the other post in here since noon responded)

The meet up place is usually the Rest Area on I-75 in KY. It's the first one after you cross into KY from Ohio, about 15 miles or so south. If anyone goes to the Dragon, they usually stop there to see if anyone else is out and about and join up.

It's about 5-6 hrs to the Dragon from there. From Cincinnati [before the bridge], I'd say it's about 20 miles or less to the Rest Area. You cannot miss it as it's on a hilltop and is the first Rest Area in KY after leaving OH.

We are going down on the 29th, so, you'll miss us, but then, I'm bringing the Cooper this year and am taking it slow.

Keep checking out the Dragon threads, as well as this one and I am positive you'll meet others, too, who are coming down the same day and will want to meet up.

We are leaving 4/30 not sure if am or afternoon. I have a conflict that came up that day at 10am. If it gets resolved we'd go as planned in the morning of the 4/30, Cleveland to Cincy is about 4 hours (spawn will have to take too many pee breaks). It'd be cool to meet up with some more minis for the rest of the trip. Once we are closer I'm sure a bunch of mini-caravans will start forming.

Kim, let me know when you get your departure time set and I'll try to adjust mine accordingly...I just don't know if I can keep up with your Janet Guthrie style of driving

We are leaving early on Wednesday, but we're not sure what time. We want to get there in time to get settled, and get to the dinner. We'd LOVE to caravan, since we missed out on that last year.
