A MINI already went Tango Uniform last night & has a bad case of fubar. The driver & passenger are lucky to be uninjured.

 

We safely navigated part of the Dragon last night. We are still on the quiet side of the park. Heading down in a few hours. Already have seen a mother bear and two cubs, woodpeckers, etc. Not many MINIs up north here, but apparently I turned my back and about 10 went past... so said a guy at the car wash!! Bears must be easier to see than MINIs!

 

Glad I saw your post before I started a rant thread about the women of Mid-Ohio Motoring Club, since you and Kim are at the Dragon.

Hopefully you are getting some good pics to share with us. I also hope that you see more MINIs then bears while you are there (seeing over 300 bears in one area would make me think that the bears are up to something)

Not real bad yellow line pics...coulda been a lot worse [especially if a motard was coming your way and straddling them]!

Sorry, but the photographer was off to the side of the roadway, not ON the roadway.

 

A safe return for us as well. We had a few kayak incidents (like almost taking flight in yesterday's wind) but it was a good time all in all.

Well we had a great time!!!!! we met some great people Hi to Mishka and gromet. We really enjoyed Fridays parade over the dragon and all the folks in Tennesee and North Carolina were great.

I'd like to see those pictures in a higher resolution sometime.

 

Thanks. I'll try to remember to bring my laptop to the next get together. I found the Canon to be a bit on the overexposed side in sunny haze. I'm going to have to stop being lazy and letting it set my exposure and override it down a stop or stop and a half... kind of the way we did with slide film back in the day -- to richen up the color. Otherwise, I was very comfortable with it.

Boo boo was the highlight for sure. I loved seeing him and mama was hidden, but that's OK.

 

WOMOMC represented the group quite well at the dragon. We had a blast and I think we saw everyone from the group who was there during our trip. Got back last night at 6:30pm. Pics to post later. We are thinking about driving down to the next breakfast to share our adventure stories.

That looks... oddly familiar...

That crash happened on the Hellbender - Rt. 28, out past the dam turn-off from what I heard. They rolled the car back over and drove it back, if you can believe it... gotta love the MINI.

The Dragon's not the only road out there that can bite, and I'm glad that everybody else made it back in one piece (me included).

 

Help me... I'm driving on High Street like I am still on the Dragon....
