OEM Wheels

Hey all.

In the future I want to look into getting some new wheels for my MC. I'd like to stick with OEM (I like the looks of them)...BUT I have no idea what all the different "names" for them mean. For example...what does the "s-lite" look like?

Is there a source somewhere that states what all the OEM wheels for the 06 models looked like?

What were the 'lightest" wheels from the 06's?

For the love of God don't buy S Lites. They are miss-named, shoulda been called S Heavies. Freakin boat anchors.

If you go from your nice & light 15" wheels to a heavy wheel you will feel the performance drop.

Here's a good source of MINI wheel info.

SO, THAT is what my wheels are "called"! R93 5-spoke Rocket ET45 14.8lb (6.7kg) [silver, white]

Looks like they are fairly decent weight wise (from OEM's that is)...now to find them in white with summer perform tires...

Paint them & buy some summer tires. That's a nice light wheel. I've got a set of White Holies for track days, 12 pounds.

the s-"lites'

you're absolutely right...the S-lites are friggin' HEAVY but, I do LOVE the way they look. To me, they are the best looking option out there. I'm definitely going to go with Black Konig Feathers...but until then, I decided to paint my S-lites. I AM NOT SORRY!!!! The new paint has changed the look of my car tremendously.
