CAI or Drop In

OK, I know this is posted ALL over the forums...but within the Mid-ohio community, what are your thoughts on going with a "Cold" Air Intake vs. say an Alta drop in filter?

Better yet! Does ANYONE have sound clips for how their cai sounds? I REALLY want to avoid the weed-whip/chainsaw sound as my MC goes down the road. I'm a fan of how she sounds stock...but from what I have read on the forums, it appears that she might sound even better with a cai installed!

I've looked at the Way/DDM Intake since it is pretty much the most i'm looking to spend. Anyone 'local' or at least anyone that comes to the breakfast's have this one on a R50? I don't want to buy a drop in and then decide that I HAVE to have the sound

Thanks!

Allen (Rigidjunkie) and Kim (Kimoz) both have R50's but I don't recall if they have changed the air intake. Kim may have changed hers just to get it away from her toes when she sits in it When you come to breakfast you should talk with Aaron from Outmotoring and get his input.

This is another mod that I think about as I go to sleep some nights. I do not think I have ever heard one in person.

I am still running with my stock system. My size twelves do get a bit scuffed up and you now explained why. Thanks.

OK I must do my job of getting every thread off topic.

Kim where do you get shoes? My wife wears size 11 and can never find shoes.

I usually find them at an outlet mall. Once I find a brand I like and fits I'll try to reorder order online. My size varies depending on the shoe brand. Sometimes wide sometime not. It is not easy being a giant. Pants are harder to find, I'm apparently too tall & skinny for designers.

Well...I'm too short and fat for designers. I've started pricing my pants by the yard Good OT Allen

Designer duds hmm.....

I buy mine from Omar the tent maker. Sometimes I'll get an irregular car cover to work for me.

CAI all the way if you're supercharged. IMHO, there's no better sound than the whine of the supercharger as it spools up. You can hear it in this video that we shot on the Dragon last fall:

Sounds nice but I keep hearing something like an aboriginal band. You need a underdrive pulley on there. Zoom Zoom!!!

Don't get me started on 'Pods. I don't like paying 3X the price for the privilege of DRM, thankyouverymuch...

Yea, IF I had the super...I would've already bought it BUT I have decided that I WILL be getting the DDM/Works Cai, since it's supposed to make the R50 sound VERY good (at least that appears to be the general thought upon NAM).

Now the question is WHEN
