Not Quite Mid-Ohio...

Hi - I don't live in mid-Ohio...I live in Huntington, WV, which happens to be right on the border with Ohio. Here's the thing - there are no Mini clubs for WV (mainly because there aren't many Minis in WV). My boyfriend has a couple of Audis and faces a similar problem with Audi clubs (although he at least has an Audi dealership in the state....no Mini dealerships in WV) so he was able to join a Mid-Ohio Audi Club. Any chance you would take pity on me and let me join? I grew up in Ohio, if that helps....oh, and I was cheering for OSU yesterday....

We are a pretty loose group so feel free to join in. No dues and no rules, we have even had people join us that did not have Mini's. Now please tell us about your Mini????

Welcome

I drive down from Cleveburg (2 hours) just to have the honor of hanging out with them. Great bunch of peeps. I have learned a lot from silverbacks and non-silverbacks. Come join the party.

Thanks!! Happy to be part of the group. I have a 2007 Oxygen Blue Mini Cooper - black roof, black bonnet stripes....cold weather package (WV winters get cold too), multifunction steering wheel and sports seats. I'm not planning to do any modifications (unless you count my tinted windows) but I am planning to eventually get personalized plate....as soon as I decide what I want.

Awsome I love Oxygen Blue (some others have mentioned that they do not like it, but they are color blind). One breakfast and I think you will change your mind on the mods, especially if you go to Outmotoring with us afterwards.

Thanks! I think the dislike of Oxygen Blue comes from not having seen one in person. The color on the website is not nearly as pretty as it is in real life. I had planned to buy British Racing Green until I saw Oxygen Blue in person....and, even after I ordered it, everyone who just saw it on the website thought I had lost my mind (they quickly realized I wasn't when it arrived and they saw how pretty the color was).

And I might change my mind on the mods...but I think I need to improve my driving a bit before I start changing things.

I may be color blind, but I like that color. Reminds me of the color from Golf sponsored GT 40's of my yute. Very nice!!!

In fact a bit of orange on the Oxygen blue would be so cool.

THANKS!! Like I said, Oxygen Blue looks a lot better in person. The website and the little color box in the brochures are not nearly the right color. The pics were taken around Glade Springs, WV. It's a resort area so some of the pics are actually on resort property and some are on the side roads to the private condos. Those are only a small sampling....I actually took about 70 pictures of the car that day.

I'd consider some orange...in fact, my "mood lighting" is often orange. I think any contrasting color (like black bonnet stripes...wink, wink) sets off Oxygen Blue and makes it look even better!

Nice pictures! I enjoyed them too.

EDIT *** How about some orange pin stripes highlighting the black bonnet stripes?

You car looks great. If you have no attachment to some odd old race car from the 60's I understand.

Allen, I think you ought to trade your orange mirror caps for O Blue mirror caps at the next breakfast. Sorry...didn't make that comment...I just remembered that you are bringing me a shirt

I think Chuck's car would look great with orange caps and mine would look nice with blue caps. Just like Chuck thinks my Crusty looks better upside down.

Maybe Barbara could give Chuck a laxative before the February breakfast so I could have time to make the switch

Also I am not coming to breakfast this month so you will get the shirt next month!

That's just how I see if you are paying attention. You are.

Man that isn't a good idea.

How will I be able to test your attention span?
Have fun at the wedding.
