No way it's a '72... I say a '93, probably fuel-injected (but it doesn't say). Worth a look for $7500 - I bet you can talk them down - the paint looks oxidized as hell, but might be saveable with a PC and some TLC... PA is driveable to take a look. Might be a good car for someone around here. Right-hand drive and late-model black grille - sharp! If you need to know what to ask for in photos (never believe claims of "no rust" - there ain't no such beast) then let me know and I can help. Good luck!
PS - I mailed the seller with some questions and pic requests just in case this tickles someone's fancy...

So... I might take a drive out to take a look at this car. I know what to look in terms of rust on MGBs, but this is a new kettle of fish for me. I'll have to read up a bit if I do go take a look.
I'm also a bit concerned about the fact that it's almost certainly a re-VINed car. I'm sure most DMV/MVA officials won't know the signs that the car is a later model year spec than the title states, but how common is it to have title troubles when trying to register such a car?

P.S.- get pix or more info yet from the seller?

The only real problem you'd have with a re-VIN (outside of California) would be with CUSTOMS on the docks - if they detect it's been re-VINned then thery can crush it. If it got through them, then the DMV won't know what you have, trust me. At the Ohio DMV they didn't even know what kind of car it was, and only eyeballed the odometer - took 3 minutes, tops, two of which were spent by the lady gushing about how "cute" the car was.
If they ask, tell them that it was extensively restored according to the previous owner using salvaged parts from many different model years (which, technically COULD happen).
Good luck and let us know how it turns out!
PS - no new pics - they said to just call. See the linked Minimania ad for the number.
