Calendar Contest Ideas?

Everyday I look at my NAM calendar at my desk and I know that we have some awsome photographers in our group so I thought we should try to get something in the calendar for 2008.

Anybody got any ideas or locations that would be good for pictures that others would find interesting?

Maybe Minis inbetween the corn stalks at the "art" thing in Dublin or in front of COSI?

It would be interesting to shoot a GROUP of Minis/MINIs someplace... But where? The concrete corn is intesesting, but driving amongst the sculptures is inviting prosecution... They've removed the cool blue lights from beneath the Broad St. Bridge downtown... COSI is an idea, but it's kinda... drab... on the outside.

I'm wracking my brain to think of a cool place to shoot the cars against, but Columbus is a bit lacking of cool architecture. If only we could drive down below the Convention Center - there's some cool graffitti down along the train tracks.

hey- i know the corn art thing in dublin- that would be neat- like 10-20 minis stagerd or "checked" in with the corn- that would be cool if you could get that together-

cool > legal

The Lane Ave bridge on campus would be pretty cool, especially at night with the stadium behind it.

How about turn 1 at Nelson Ledges? The tire walls are very photogenic.

"if you build it, they will come"
"if you stage it, count me in!!!" --- I think there is a lot of creativity in this group, we need a "family" photo

Maybe we'll need to stitch the photos together.

Here's a picture of you headed for turn 1 lapping Jeff, the Weshguy.

I've already started saving for the November outing, we need more minis on the track.

I was thinking of that, but when? We'd need to do it REALLY late...

OR really early! Maybe a Sunday Morning, there is a Tim Horton's down there

All we need to do is get two Mini's there and keep the camera in the same place and move the Minis so that they systematically hold every space on the bridge, then photoshop to combine all the pics then photoshop again to change the color of the Minis. Much easier than actually getting people to come to the bridge.

Sorry I am just an idea guy. I need other people to cary out my devious schemes.

If I hired some people and bought some uniforms there is no doubt in my mind I could take over the world. Dr. No has nothing on me!

If we could somehow line it up so it looks like our wheels have been replaced by doughnuts that would be cool.

I said I was an idea guy, not a GOOD idea guy!

Does anyone on the list have a red MC or MCS with white roof and white bonnet stripes? I'd personally love to to a shot with Fiona next to a modern MINI for contrast... I think it would make a great "old and new" calendar shot. Still need a good location though...

I do - Except in the last week I've added checkered mirror caps, door handles and sun roof. Let me know if you're still interested...I'm sure Nigel would love to meet her

Do you mean the arch that's all that's left of the historic Columbus train station?

To others it is the burning couches outside the football stadium that really says Columbus

Now cool would be if we could get the Minis down by the water durring the fire water thing they do.
