Philadelphia area MINI dealers

I'm getting tantalizingly close to taking the plunge for a new MCS and I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on the MINI dealers in the Philadelphia area. As far as I can tell, I have three posibilities: Main Line MINI in Philadelphia, Otto's MINI in West Chester, Pa., or MINI of Princeton, N.J. Any and all input will be greatly appreciated! I'm in Cherry Hill, NJ, about a 10-minute ride east of Philly, the Liberty Bell and the NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles!

Good sales, service ?

Bought my mini at MINI of the Main Line. Dealt with Mark who was very good during and after the sale. The service department leaves a little to be desired.

I had an OK experience at Princeton Mini. Otto's wasn't open at that time and I've met Julie since at some Philly mini events (very nice). I would probably go that route next time ( MCSC ). Best of Luck. GO EAGLES

I bought mine at Mini of the Mainline, and I delt with Amos who is very nice. The original transaction was smooth and I got my baby for a great price. However, Amos has had some difficulty and a lack of urgency about getting in touch with me after the sale regarding additional items that were promised within the sale (ie: extra key to the car). Once I get those items, I'll be a much happier motorer.

My MCS should be arriving at Otto's in the next week or two. Michelle has been quick to answer all my questions and if the service department is half as good, I'll be thrilled.

Maybe you'll get to see Minnie at the dealer before I do!

What do mean by extra key? Didn't you get 2, or do you want a third?

I bought mine used and the previous owner had only returned one key. I had them order me another from BMW. Buying a car with only one key is like buying a car without a spare, not gunna do it!

I guess you bought a MC, not an MCS. I got a spare key but not a
spare tire. It is weird not having that spare tire, but I really don't think about it much. Maybe I should !!

South Jersey really needs a MINI dealer of its own. DeSimone BMW should do something about that, or perhaps down in the Turnersville Auto Mall. The thought of driving to the Main Line or West Chester for service doesn't thrill me all that much.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Main line MINI. Purchased from Tony and service by Peter and Seth. All Thumbs up.

O T T O ' S

Purchased from Otto's May 5th 04 from Joe McCormick and he is just fantastic. Their service has always been great and everyone there is very friendly and know their stuff. WARNING THOUGH.. stay away from their "Lifestyle" shop.. its awesome but will put a big dent in your wallet.

The only experiences I have had with Princeton so far has been bad but isolated to service. On my Z3, I got it back with a chipped interior vent <very noticable> and with the Cooper S they "FORGOT" to reset my lights after the oil change????

Good luck with your choice and DeSimone would be a FANTASTIC MINI dealer.. thats where I purchased the roadster..

MINI of the Main Line is the way to go. We dealt with Amos, too, and their service is very good. it is usually not very busy, so i is my main suggestion.

Just wanted to bump this old thread. I'm going to start visiting area MINI dealers. Princeton & Otto's are on my list, and would consider Main Line. I am getting a bad vibe around Princeton, from this and other threads.

Thoughts?

Dealers

A lot of the threads could be older. A lot of things have changed and improved at many dealerships. Princeton has greatly improved. I can honestly say this as I used to work there. At times, it could be a place that frustrated, even the employees. But, about two years ago, the upper management changed and so did the working atmosphere and the dealership. For the better. You should give them a shot. I think you will be impressed. The MINI Manager is Jeremy Golis. Great guy. Tell him I sent you.

This is great feedback, thanks!

I'm starting my tri-MINI tour next week. First stop is MINI of the Main Line. Then, its Otto's. Now, I think I'm going to put Princeton back on the list.

Have fun. If Tony is still at Mainline, tell him Debbie Franks says "hello".

When you go to Otto's see Stella. She does a great job.
