Please join us on Sunday, February 29 for our February eating event!

This will be a fun country drive, a brunch, and another country drive
back home.

Meet on Sunday, Febuary 29 at MINI of Sterling at 8:30 am. Our drive
will start at 9:15 am (route planned by Mty MINI!!!) and take a
twistie pace through the Virginia countryside, ending at the 1763
Inn, where we have an 11:30 am brunch reservation. The Inn is
located in Upperville VA and they have a web site for those who want
to check it out. http://www.1763inn.com. The Inn has also reserved for
us "the grassy space" in the front to prominently park our MINIs.

Brunch will cost $19.95 per person, $15.95 for kids, plus beverages
you may want to drink of the alcoholic variety and gratuity. The Inn
would prefer a single payment on the check, so please bring the cash
or check to DC Metro MINIs to the start of the run and I will collect
it then.

After brunch, Mty MINI has devised another route to take us back to
MINI of Sterling on a reputed twistie road from the Inn which will
connect back up to Route 7.

For those who cannot join on the drive, you are welcome to meet us at
the Inn for brunch.

If you are coming please RSVP by Monday, February 23 so I can tell
the Inn whether we need the big private room (40 people) or the
little private room (25 people). RSVP to
Jennifer.Oakes@f... with name, number of people, number of
cars. Please also indicate if you are coming on the drive or just
meeting us there to eat.

This will be our first Spring Run! Yes, Spring is HERE!

I broke down and took her to a car wash this weekend. Not perfect, but much better. I figure Sterling should give her a little touch up when she is there for the "impossible" lights on the 27th!

 

We'll be there...bleary-eyed, but ready to drive.

There's a cheap and decent wash over on 7 in Tysons. It's actually a hand wash place, but the car goes through on a belt to the various stations. I want to say the last time I drove over there I paid $25 for vacuuming, wash, and wax. They even got most of the brake dust off the wheels, although I'm sure if I wanted to push the issue I could have brought it back over for another go around to get all the brake dust off...

Should be more like 24 to 27 MINIs and about 45 people.
