Hey all,
just got my Countryman this week. I come from the motorcycling world and the MINI is to help us out on our long journeys. Our days of the 6,000 mile tours are probably over (note I say probably), so they MINI gotta pick up the slack.

With that said, in the motorcycle world we play a Tag game, where one person posts up a picture of a location with a picture in it and the first person to ride to that location and posts up their vehicle gets to select the next location to go to by posting up another location with their vehicle in it.

We have various forms of this game such as the Theme Tag. Same as above except rather than posting up the next location you simple state what you want the next picture to include.

For instance if I grab the TAG I could simply state Go get a National Park with your MINI it or even simplier I could simply state Go to a Cumberland Farm and get a picture of you filling up your car.

So any interest in something like this.

1st welcome aboard. This sound like fun for all who play. Shame you are so far away from me. Maybe you could play a round where you see how far from the starting point the picture can travel.

 

We could go National with the Theme Type tag. The person posting up just needs to keep in mind not put up something that is only regional. So if I posted up Papa Gino's up here the Theme would have to a be Pizza Place.

might take a few days to gain speed, but you might have a few takers....strong mini connections in your local area....and a GREAT mini centric independant shop..Greasysgarage.

Post a picture of something up and I will go chase it in the next couple of days...that is if I don't get Bruced.

Bruced happens when you chase a tag, but someone posts one up before you do. Thus you are Bruced.

If you don' t post one up I will tonight. It can be anything as long as someone can get the theme you are shooting for.

Take a picture of your MINI at a MINI dealer or any Foreign Car Dealer. Then post up another picture of what you want the new theme to be. Remember you MINI has to be in it

OK now that the game is on...some rules to follow...what would a game be if there were no rules...gotta have stinkin rules.

Shamelessly borrowed from a motorcycle forum that I participate in of course updated to be MINI centric

TAG Rules
1. You drive to the current tag photo which includes the THEME

2. You photograph the location showing both you and/or your MINI and the THEME in the photo.

3. You then take a photo of you and/or your MINI in front of another landmark, geographic location, etc, which contains the new THEME This can be a photo that you have taken that day, or one that you may have taken in the past. No Internet photos please. Remember you and/or your MINI must be in the photo. In this case you would post up a photo of the new Theme.

4. Post both photo's. If you have any special conditions with your TAG please post them along with the photo, otherwise as long as the driver is actually at a THEME location, and the photo includes the THEME object and you and/or your MINI, the TAG will count. Conditions could be a description of the object that you want to be photographed, the location that you want the picture taken from, or anything else that you feel would be appropriate.

5. Another MINI drive then must tag your photo.

Examples of themes would be; an Ice Cream Stand, Historic Landmark, Lighthouse, Weeping Willow Tree, Subway Sandwich Shop, BBQ Joint, what ever you can come up with as long as it is easily obtainable.

Thinking outside the box is a good thing, For instance we had someone post up a Weeping Willow Tree for a Theme, the next person posted up a sign that said Weeping Willow Restaurant. That works. The game is suppose to be fun and off beat at time.

I'd say it counts. Didn't say whether the MINI had to be the bread or the filling.

It counts that your MINI is the slice of bread versus the filling, however you must post up the new Theme at the same time as the TAG. If someone complies with all the rules before you get your New Theme up, YOU HAVE BEEN BRUCED !!...just saying (what I really wanted was a whistling smilie)

Oh BTW I brought my camera to work with me and I know where I am heading after work. I am planning on making a Dagwood.

I went to go get this last night. It was dark boost ISO to 800. set up the tripod, set autobracketing on to see if I could get a really neat HDR photo. Battery dead. Son borrowed the camera and you can guess the rest. Both batteries dead
