They're only $45 brand new from Cruisecam.

I have one and it's well worth the cash - great product at a low price.

Well, yeah they're worth it

but I thought I'd ask around first - I've got a tight budget

Thanks

The vibration is completely dependent on the rigidity of your mounting point IMHO. Here's a video taken in my A4 at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL. I have a student in the passenger seat so that probably deadens seatback movement a bit. The Cruisecam is clamped to the dual posts of the headrest.

Yes nice vid

I've seen others out here on TWS put the mount on the rear seat headrest posts (or HardBar harness bar) and tune the angle/exposure to see the speedo as well (a very cool thing about MINI's), which would be good to understand entry and exit speeds at corners. I guess you'd see less of the track, but I suppose it depends on what you are after with the camera - great learning tool IMHO.

'Still hoping someone is getting out of tracking and would rather have the $ than the CruiseCam...

I have mine mounted to the drivers seat and the vibration is not seen in video. I figured being on the drivers seat there would always be someones butt in that seat so no worries

I'll be instucting at that event, along with a bunch of other guys from the Chicagoland Audi Club.

Not sure whether I'll be bringing the A4 or the Mini yet though.

That's an excellent idea! Now I'm disappointed I got the Chrono package.

D'oh!

Actually, I'm getting married in August and a little birdy gave me a hint that my surprise bachelor party might be that weekend, so I might not make it.

Sorry 'bout that.

But since you're done with the thread now...

Hey Red Rage - looks like I'm going after all. I think the bachelor party is going to be the following weekend. My car should arrive next week - can't wait!!!
