FS: M7 AGS w/ Heatshield

Well I ordered one and was pretty confident in installing the intake. But when I saw the instructions and looked at my car I couldn't see doing it. So I'm looking at selling it. Its brand new, unopened with the heatshield.

I'm asking $275 shipped.

That's too bad...it's really not as complicated as it seems. Lots of nuts/bolts to remove but it's mostly the bumper. And the bumper part only takes around a half hour of wrenching to remove. Give it a shot and PM me if you need more help:smile:

Well its that and the instructions M7 posted seems to not show the radiator and coolant removal parts. I just feel like its beyond my ability and if I really need to remove the intake for service that it will be near impossibly.

Do you have friends/mechanics who can help you? It's really worth the install.

This is defintely not an intake you remove for service. Once installed it is in for the long haul.... hey my local dealership saw it and thought it was cool. They could care less....

Go for it!

Well I don't plan to remove it for when the car goes in for service. Its just a small part of me that worries incase I must remove it because my **** dealer might gripe over it.

Trust me, it took me 5 hours for the first install...without instructions But hey I volunteered to be a guinea pig and it was a pre-production piece that eventually developed a vacume leak. The second time, it took me less than a half hour to reach it and another hour to fix then button up. The third time, I got a production piece and it took an hour to remove/replace the AGS. Like I said...lots of nuts/bolts in the way but it's not that challenging:smile: I could probably be a certified AGS installer now LOL

why not bring it in at the DC Pulley party if there is going to be one?
We can all take a look at it and I might want to take it off your hands.

Well if the dates are made concrete we'll see. The intake is still up for sale.

Why don't you return it? M7 gets a lot of guff about a lot of things, but he has excellent customer service and stands behind his product. I am sure if you pay shipping he would refund you.

If there are no takers in a few days then I will hang onto it till maybe someone helps me install it. But my main concern right now is if I had to return my car to stock for some reason it wouldn't be possible. The install changes many aspects of the car.

As I see it, the only thing one would have to do to return to stock is to purchase a couple of hoses...or did I miss something.

Yes thats what one would have to do. But I want a simplifer change back. Sorry, maybe its just me. I am reading more and more so I can learn how to do it and will look at it more closely tonight and see if maybe I'm just overreacting. But it stands up for SALE.

You don't really need to replace the hose after you modify it. It will do just fine when you return to stock.

I dont live to far from Bowie, and im waiting on my AGS to show up. Once I put mine on and if its not to bad which i dont think it will be. I could try giving u a hand if u still have it. I use to be a mechanic for ingersoll rand, and ive grown up around cars my whole life. Ive put a motor together that runs 9's. So i have some brains about cars .
