Feeler for my 03 MCS

Ok, after thinking about it for awhile, and reading Hyper Blue's market place ad for his 05' MCS I would like to know what I could get for my 03' MCS.

I am in no hurry to sell and am in no need to get rid of my MCS as I love it, but I would like to get an 05' (LSD, new Xenons...new car to break in ) but just as a feeler note: would anyone be interested in my car? i know going to the dealer to trade it in would be a waste heres what i have:

2003 MCS
-Sports Package
-Cold Weather Package
-H/K audio
-15% Pulley
-MTH
-AGS (has yet to be installed)
-UUC exhaust
-17" Konig Wheels
-H-sport Springs
-Alta SSK

the car has not been raced, and oil has been changed every 5000 miles. With the exception of the break in oil change which i performed at 2000 miles.

Would it be possible to get $21-22K for a car with my specs? it is in excellent condition and well taken care of an maintained.

As i said, just a feeler, I am in no means selling my baby....

To help others, how many miles are on your baby?

In Austin, TX you could easily get $20-22K, IF it has lower than average miles. They sell fast around here with no dealer in town to compete with.

The truth is Mod parts count for very little or nothing to a used car value.. If you really want $20k or $21k from it, I would part it out and sell the car for $19k and the wheels, exhaust... may good for another $1k to $2k.

Yea, thought about that. I have all stock parts still....

I am in no hurry or need to sell. Maybe just save up my nickles and dimes for an 06' , keep this as my "daily driver"

Absence of moonroof doesn't generally help in the used market.

When I was recently shopping for an MCS, I found that the absence of moonroof doesn't generally help in the used market. You have a better chance on this forum where there are people who enjoy competition and mods. On eBay, newspapers, and autotrader, Minis without the moonroof don't get sold as quickly.
