FS: ALTA 2004+ Short Shifter
Gone.
My mistake is your gain!
I bought a 2004+ Alta Short Shifter (pictured below), only to find out that not all 2004 model year cars have 2004 shifters.
I have since installed a 2002-2003 shifter, but still have this one hanging around. I don't want to pay restocking, so I am passing some savings onto you.
This has never been installed or used, but the box is open. As you can see from the picture, everything is included.
Price: $150 plus shipping (you pick the shipping from zipcode 98034, USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL)
I'm open to offers.
Thanks!

I think that you have to have a 2004 build date or later. I have an October 2003 build which is a 2004 Model Year but the shifter box changed Jan 2004 to the best of my knowledge.
I have a diagram that I will take a picture of once my camera battery charges up that will show you the difference between the two shifter boxes. You can tell which one you have by removing the shifter boot and looking at the box from inside the car. The 2002-2003 has a "grooved slope" coming up to the stick, while the 2004 has a "ramp."
Picture to come soon.

yes, it will work for a 2005 model year car.
If you want to use the stock **** there is an adapter you can get for it. Otherwise you will need a threaded ****. The ALTA **** is included.
Attached is the diagram of each shifter box. You need box "B" for this shifter to work. The ball and socket joints are bigger on the later build date cars.

I've got one of these on my 12/03 build MCS and it took the 2004+ kit. The shifter is very sweet and well worth $150. You can adjust is horizontally and veritically from inside the car and it only takes a couple minute from start to finish. I velcroed an allen wrench under the shift boot area so I can mess with it whenever I feel like it.
