Brand New - 16" Runflats & 7 Fin Rims for sale - Dealer Take Offs

Up on eBay this week are my new MCSC 16" rims, with runflats.

Driving a stock Cooper? Want to run with the big boys? (?) Now's your chance. These were taken off at the dealer with 11 miles on the clock.

Click this link to see the ad on eBay:
Four BRAND NEW Wheel sets

Plus, as an added bonus ("What do we have for them Johnny?") if someone from this board buys it with BUY IT NOW, in the Maryland to New England area, I'll pay the postage.

Seriously, thanks for your help. I gotta get the bucks to pay for those controversial orange rims....

Not long ago I had checked for 15x7 Orange Kosei K1 TS rims but they were out of stock at tirerack.

I think you are going for the 17" rims- hope you have better luck.

For the stock rims-
R92 7-spoke Fin ET48 19.0lb (8.6kg) [silver, white]
Clean design.

Yes, they are out of stock. They are expecting a 12/15 eta, but I really don't need these until after winter as I'm riding snows now.

I'm doing 15"

Thanks for the heads up

Hey Ducttape, I am interested in these wheels and tires and would be able to pick them up. Just one question before I bid. Are these the Dunlop dsst VR16 or hr16 because Tirerack has a price of $119.00 for the hr16's. Are they ultra high performance all season or strictly summer tires? Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris

They are marked 195/55/16R 87V If you go to the oem page on Tire Rack , they are the SECOND tire listed, not the $119 tire.

I think MINI markets them as all season. I don't know why TR says summer.

I'd be happy to answer more questions if you got 'em!

thx
David

All seasons should be marked "M+S" somewhere on the tire ...

You will *not* be missed with those wheels ... WOW!

Good luck with that sale...my 2002 S came with those rims because the guy that traded it in on an '05 Convertible decided to take his aftermarket rims with him...they look great on non-convertible Coopers...great rims. Just a TTT for ya

Well, I'd say that's a good thing because your original post was sent to all of us as an email.

If you are implying I am less than honest, I dare say this is THE first time on a MINI board I have been pissed at someone. Did I say I own the rims?

"Then I looked a little closer and decided that perhaps we have all been fooled"

Wow, you're right! Fooled ya! I pulled one over on the entire MINI community saying I now own rims I am thinking about buying. Boy, I should lean back and smoke a cigarette...

Don't those pictures look a tad too familiar to you to be construed as my shots?

"The rims appear to be photo-shopped into the picture. The white line around the rims in the waterside shot was the first give away, then the fact that although the second shot of the convertible shows the car zpping along, the wheels are stationary. How is that possible? It is not possible, is the answer."

Thanks for the Photoshop lesson. Oh, and the physics lesson. I sure am glad you are watching the boards to catch deceptive people like me.

"Why would someone deceive their fellow mini owners with a doctored photo?"

Does the 900+ feedback I have on eBay, without one negative, tell you that when I say something, to those WHO BOTHER TO LISTEN CORRECTLY TO WHAT IS BEING SAID, you can take it to the bank.

"What does this say about the honesty of the transaction you are about to do with whoever might buy your old rims?"

In short, go screw yourself. And when you are done, tell me where you come off posting something like this on a public board. In the mean time, do me a favor. If you don't have anything nice to say in threads I am reading, don't say anything at all. Go buy a friggin Honda or something

Which is why I deleted the message. But, since you are being so generous in your praise, to those of us who do not have a 900+ rating from all the things they have sold on ebay, a better picture caption like, "they would look something like this" might have clarified the issue in the first place.

Personally, this MINI (not Honda) owner would have posted something to the effect, "I am glad you deleted your post because I certainly did not mean to deceive anyone with those pictures, and I am sorry if you misunderstood. No, that is not my car, that is what my car would look like if I had those rims on it." But then again, that is just me, not a 900+ ebayer, just little ol' me, you chose your way to respond, and I respect that.

Merry Christmas everyone

Must be the new style.

Personally, I would have spent a little more and bought something aftermarket with performance tires. Wait, I did that already..the aftermarket part but not the $$ part!

Got some Kumho Ecsta MX on Kosei K1 TS used on Ebay. They were in real good shape when I received them. The tires are a little noisy but grip well and provide a much smoother ride. I picked up a compact wheel and tire from a wrecking yard for cheap and bought a tire bag from the bag lady and put it in the boot. I lost some space but I travel light.
