Do you have a tensioner tool for sale? What is included in the pulley remover tools?

Check out www.outmotoring.com for the tensioner tool. I bought one from them - it showed up ahead of schedule - and it made the job so much easier. It is the official BMW tensioner tool.

the pulley removal tool is identical to this:
http://www.bavauto.com/assets/produc...l/opk_tool.jpg

you will need some kind of center push type puller to bolt up to it. My tool has the exact geometry of the OEM pulley machined into it,it splits and captures the entire pulley so the removal can be done in place without rmoving the supercharger from the rest of the motor. It will require that you jack the motor up approx. 7-8 inches.A complete how to is available on Randy webb's site(version 2)complete with pictures- very informative.Hope this helps. Jock

I actually just used a generic, adjustable puller. It bent the lip of the original pulley when it was pulling it off, but I didn't care because I was replacing it anyway.

I didn't need the tensioner tool, either. I just stuck an allan wrench in the little hole before the spring to hold the tension on the tensioner and then unbolted it. When you put the smaller pulley in you have extra belt to work with anyway, so you just pull the allan wrench out and it tensions up after you bolt it back on.

If you wanted to keep the original pulley undamaged I would get a puller that was built for that pulley, like this one.

Good way to go.

Yeah, it's my first post, and yeah it's an endorsement, but Jock Holden's pulley tool rental deal is quick and easy to do, it's a quality tool, and he went out of his way to get it to me in time to install my pulley while I had a few days off at Christmas. And no, I don't work for him.

Oh yeah, the pulley rocks too!
