Would anyone be interested in a cold air intake (similar to Maddness/Pilo) that includes heat shield, machined tube and seal for $70 not counting shipping. You can then pick the brand filter you prefer. This version uses a filter with 2 3/4" inlet and the tube is machined to 2 5/8" to fit the stock inlet hose. I have 5 complete sets.

Yeah I'd be interested, but would like pics as well. Who designed the kit?

I will try to post pics tonight. I designed the intake myself, just like the Maddness except the intake tube has a larger inner diameter. The stock hose will fit a 2 5/8" dia tube so I had 2 3/4" dia aluminum tubing machined down to 2 5/8" at one end. the inner dia is 2 1/2". I made my own because I thought the current versions were too expensive. I had enough materials to make 10 intakes and have 6 left. I used a K&N filter on mine but S&B filters are a better choice. You could also use a UNI foam filter.

Great, can't wait. I was thinking about making my own due to the same reason. MONEY, I think the price of these intakes are insane.

Thanks,

I can't see any of the pics. Can you repost? Or possibly send via e-mail?
