They are covers which go over the caps. I will edit the original post to explain this (hadn't thought about that!). They attach with low profile hi-temp double sided tape. I have had them on my car for ages and they haven't come off. They cover the power steering cap (with room for the vent hole), the brake fluid reservoir cap, and the cap to the lower left of the power steering reservoir.

sticks on with tape?
Shouldn't this thread be in MARKETPLACE anyways. (Moderators, are you listening?)

The hood scoop attaches with bolts, and the mirror covers/caps attach with tape. There is virtually no gap with the tape, as it is a low profile hi temp adhesive. My apologies on the wrong forum - I didn't see a marketplace forum from the "forums" list on the left hand pane. Mods, feel free to move the thread.

Why are your scoops $299.00 when eveyone else is at $189.00. ive seen the other ones up close and they are very nicely done. Icant see paying that much more for the same item. the one i am talking about is from forge and diamond racing.

Maybe their's a quality issue or mounting. I have not heard anyone else speak of the other carbon hood scoops before only BFP. the price range of the others is from 165 to 190 or so. if we get the group buy that puts us 40 over the others, BFP also has silver I have yet to hear back from the other two about different color options.
9 was the last count.

I believe the BFP products have been thoroughly engineered and produced at the highest possible quality. there are two ways cf products are and have been produced for consumers over the past many years...
The Cheap way... which is laying the cf in and backing it with glass... by hand.
The Professional way ... vacuum bagging or pressure molding with presaturated cf.
then there is the technique that no-one but professional auto manufactures and nascar shell makers use.... Spun Carbon Fiber.
I cannot wait to see some of the other CF options coming in our direction.

Thanks MM, I knew since I had not heard of any of the other two on this site or Mini2 site there must be something about them. it appears that the online mini sites can pretty much let everyone know if a product or sponsor is worth it, these
sites can make or break a company.

>>Diamond Racing sells this same carbon fiber hood scoop at their regular price of $165.00. This group buy price is way out of line.
This is NOT the same carbon fiber hood scoop as Diamond Racing sells. They import the one they sell from England, and each order is a 4-6 week drop ship from the UK. I won't talk against another sponsor of this board, but we feel that our carbon fiber products are of the highest quality, fit, and finish of any available. They are also available, and ship the day after purchase via FedEx or USPS priority. If ordered before noon, we ship the same day.
We use the top of the line, most expensive pre-pregged carbon fiber with the lowest resin content on the market. Each piece is vacuum bagged and autoclaved, after which it is polished and waxed. As a result, our intakes won't yellow or fade like most cheaper CF products out there. We spent 4 arduous months developing a system of attachment to the hood (in the process of filing for a design patent), and as a result it fits exactly as the stock part. Our price reflects this, and anyone who is unsatisfied is welcome to return the product for a full refund at any time, given that it's in sellable condition.
I would encourage you to buy one of each MINI CF scoop on the market, do a head to head test, and return the ones you feel are inferior. These items aren't just a push button process; the quality is reflected in the work that goes into them, and there's a lot of variation in the market.
-Dan
P.S. We have 11 people so far

That is great info. The yellowing of CF products, is rough. When i worked in SPFX, we used Vacuum Bagged Pre-Pregged Aeronautical CF for the under structures of Jurassic Park Dinos. The Quality of cf STARTS with the manufacturer, of course.
It's great that you are confidnent with your products.
And the suggestion about aquiring one of each and putting it through a test is excellent!

Ok, were at the first break. Great! it would be cool if we could hit 30 and get the full 100 off, Wow.
Dan, as a side note, what about doing carbon fiber front Grill, maybe a replacement part. the other's that are crom or brushed Allummium are
overlays, or maybe the vents below the wipers, or the flares on the wheel wells, you know where the plastice is. Just thinking, hope I am not making more work,
you guys may have already been thinking about that, just wanted to add my .02 worth. or maybe the rear spolier?
Cool. Now if I can just find a quicksilver group buy for 650 or less, I can be set for a year while I save for the pulley/ecu upgrade.
I guess its like a junky, I got to have my MCS fix.
