Anyone up for a fall drive soonish? I have finally admitted to myself that summer is over. I'll gladly help plan but have not been in Wisconsin for that long so my knowledge is not extensive.

Let me know some thoughts.. A small group is always fun too.

I am always ready for a drive on the weekend. I've been going on some drives this summer with other groups, but looking for one with mini's. Any ideas?

 

I always like the spring green area roads but could do anywhere... I say we just pick a Sunday and some place to aim for and find the roads with the most curves to get there and back

 

That works with with me. We can meet up somewhere. I live in Milwaukee but have no problem at all driving to Madison, I kind of like Madison better. Maybe some of the others on the forum would be interested......

 

Pick a meeting spot, a time and an idea of what to possibly expect (2 hr drive, social event, etc...) and I will send out an email to the group.

I'm in the process of working with a buddy on a possible drive for next month. My buddy did a drive last month. I did the drive and it took a couple hours. The drive starts in Lannon, WI and then stops at Delafield Brewhouse. From there it ends in Mukwonago. I'll let everyone know more when I know more...

At least most of us intend to unless obligations pop up. I have been working on a drive as well. Just triyng to tie up some loose ends. Hope to get a drive together before the weather turns ugly.

 

Anyone want to do a weekend up in Door County?

We'd love to....Plus, it is a great drive along Lake Michigan.

 

Shaun is working on a drive towards Milkwaukee so I will start working on something southwest of Madison, Monroe area. I am thinking leave from Madison, hour and a halfish to somewhere (still working on that part) then back.

I can only drive on Sunday because I work Saturdays but will let you know what I come up with.

 

Here is my thought so let me know if anyone is interested or has suggestions. Nothing is set in stone and I am open to ideas.

Meet on the west side of Madison, by the Home Depot on Verona Rd., around 1045-11 on Sunday Oct. 17. From there take an 1 1/2 to 2 hours to head to Monroe on some fun roads. Stop in Monroe for lunch and/or brewery tour, figure about an hour or so and then head back to Madison on some new roads, again 1 1/2 to hours. Goal would be to be back around 4.

Again, I am very flexible. I just want I nice drive. The person I normally go with is out of the state and normally we just pick some place and find curvy roads to get there.

Sounds good and hope you find a way to do it. My MINI is out of action until after the 18th due to some one hitting it while parked at work. Hope you have a good turnout.

 

My buddy got back to me today. He is planning a drive for this Sunday. It's late notice but there will be around 4 or 5 cars there right now(I'll be the only mini). It starts in Lannon, stops at a bar for lunch/packer game and then ends in Mukwonago. He wants me there by 10 am Sunday morning. If anyone is interest let me know....

As for next weekend, I'll come out to Madison. It will be the last drive before I put the winter rims/tires on.

I have everything picked out for the drive and it should work out pretty much how my above message stated. Each way is closer to an hour and fifteen and an hour and a half.

Let me know if you will be able to make it so we know who to expect.

I figured meet on the west side of Madison at 1045, by the Home Depot on Verona Rd in the empty parking lot to the left. When you turn at the light go to home depot, take a left and then there is an empty building with a large parking lot on your right.

I'm for sure going this Sunday, so you can count me in. I'll get the gps address for the home depot so I know where to go. I'll probably be there before 10:45 since I'm coming from Milwaukee. Has anyone from the milwaukee group(other then me) responded or is planning on going?

 

Hey, I 'm very interested in going. I'm in the MIlwaukee area,but it, all depends on my work. I should be able to commit to the drive on Thursday. I sure need a good drive.

So we have a couple maybes. If anyone knows for sure or hasn't said, let me know. I realize you will miss the packers game but there is the radio/dvr/highlights.

Count me and my Chili Red Mini in!!! Really lookin' foward to this drive. I've got to ask, would you allow a non-Mini in this drive? A freind of mine has a S2000 that also enjoys these drives too. I have not mentioned anything about the arrangemnts you have made so it is no big deal if you want to keep it an only Mini drive, I understand, just asking. See you Sunday!

My friend Ellen said she saw a few MINIs in the old Cub lot yesterday as she went into Home Depot. She said they were looking at her weird when she didn't join the group haha.
