JCW Hood Scoop

The JCW Hood Scoop is on my Christmas list.
Just wondering if its only for show
or does it help get more air in.

It does look cool. Pun intended.

Which JCW scoop? The carbon fiber one? I have that scoop, and it's just for looks. It's the same size/shape as the stock scoop, and it's made from carbon fiber over ABS plastic, so it's about the same weight as well.

so if carbon fiber is your thing, why not make it more functional and add the M7 ram air scoop instead. It actually will grab more air (don't ask me for data ) and it does look nice if I say so myself

Keep in mind that all of the M7 carbon fiber parts have been listed as "unavailable" on their website for several months. Perhaps they are available again and they just haven't updated their site, but it would be wise to call first.

I forgot about that and at $320.00 I'm sure happy I got mine way back when it first came out...

Yeah the reason M7 isnt doing their scoops in CF is that they guy that does them says that they are just so hard to consistantly make and meet the high standards that its just to difficult. If there was a lot of interest in them im sure they would probably make them again (all about supply and demand) but at what wait and cost? I was able to get my hands on one of the original ones that were made thankfully, once my car is carbon fiberized over the winter I will have pics.
