Skiploader has a point about the brakes but MINIs have tiny rotors anyway ... looks like the GTI had much bigger rotor areas.

You got to understand what Michael Cooper is trying to do VICE, maybe, what some enthusiasts is trying to do and they may be totally different things.
Eh...sounds like a lot of work. I think I'll just be (cr)happy with my JCW engine kit and motor on. I have to add the JCW strut brace to my wish list though...after reading all about it I'm sold on it!

You cannot compare the ferrari's to the muscle cars.

The rate that the price of muscle cars went up was so many times greater than what it had been with the ferrari's, its almost hard to believe.

The problem with ferrari's that we dont have with muscle cars is that you can clone a ferarri.

well, you can make a kit, with something like a fiero or corvette base, but they arent even in the same class with ferrari's. when someone can build and sell a Clone GTX and have it sell for only $35k less than the REAL DEAL (see Barret-jackson 2006 Scottsdale) you know theres a still untapped market.

Just watch, clones are already prevalent now, wait till all the real cars are gone and they all start to become clones, thats when i see the market starting to go under, which doesnt seems to be happening any time soon.

I LOVE GOING WAAAAYY OT!!!

sure I can. There are tons of Cobra Replicas out there too, lots of kit cars.

That is NOT the same as a real TestaRossa.

Yeah, but cobra replicas are no where near the same class a any hemi car or even just any 440-6 or true 440 r/t car. (im mopar biased, none of the other muscle cars out there draw as much cash anyways)

Cobra replicas will always just be 35-45k cars, no matter how good they are done. they are just like hot rods. only the people that build them like them, and its tough to sell them after you build them.

Not only will you learn more about your car and the people, who like you, own crap. But you will find your self LOL on several occasions.
Who knows, you might even find the irresistible urge to become a member of TEAM CRAPTASTIC.

I for one own several crapy parts and am damn proud of it.

"IN CRAP WE TRUST"
Hold it a sec there Lexy:

Per your sig, you have the JCW airbox and injectors............and that's it!

Where is your JCW cylinder head?
Where is you JCW exhaust?
Where is your JCW strut brace?
Where is your JCW suspension?
Where are your JCW Illuminated door sills?
Where is your JCW carbon fiber picture frame with certificate of authenticity?

I am reporting you to XAlfa - because you Sir, are an imposter! You took the coward's way out.

You have to waste money on the pedigreed engine, the smooth JCW reduction pully to truly earn your Mr. Hanky Fecal Badge of Honor.

If you want full membership on the JCW Turd Team, you need to do much more than add the injectors and airbox - any modder who wants to devalue his future classic with non-pedigreed parts can do that..........

Shame on you!

Say it Ain't so. An Imitator has infiltrated the Ranks Of the CRAPPINESS brigade

A mere JCW intake kit is NOT qualifing material. No certificate of authenticity .... Say it aint so?

EXCUUUUSE ME, Skippy!

If I may quote the Team Craptastic regulation book....
Chapter 102, Sub paragraph 2...
"All you need to do is bolt on one piece of JCW crap to enjoy the privileges of full membership." ---XAlfa

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...&postcount=102

Not an impostor. I just pick what I think is the best option for the mods I want.
In 2 casses its turned out out to be crapy parts.
Best intake IMHO, CRAP
Best upgraded injectors for my needs, CRAP (second choice M7 but I dont need that much)

Where is your JCW cylinder head? NOT YET
Where is you JCW exhaust? NO WEIGHT REDUCTION
Where is your JCW strut brace? M7 IS BETTER, MHO
Where is your JCW suspension? HAVENT DECIDED
Where are your JCW Illuminated door sills? LOL, YEAH RIGHT
Where is your JCW carbon fiber picture frame with certificate of authenticity? ROTFL

Impostors would have spent the $100.00 + in crapy badges and be done.
I Sir, am a crap conasuir!

As I said earlier, "if I would have bought the car, it would have been a JCW, but sense it was a gift, its just a S"

...and now, am taking my crappy logo and football, and screw you guys am going home.

Say it aint so?

Maybe that was in the fine print ... to get Randy to join

I mean really ... some crap is nice. MORE crap is better.

everyone know that its the JCW head that is the more important part. See https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...light=jcw+head

But without an authentic, carbon fiber bound Certificate of Authority ... hmm .... Maybe a quorum is needed to go over the bylaws

I think not If you have not got a Crappy S/N then you havent got a Craptastic MINI...... Besides you have to precure the head job aswell as the rest of the nuts and bolts, fiddling with you ECU and an exhaust that really blows

Maybe we need to merge Team Craptastic with the $10k Mod Club... And then sell the Team Craptastic stickers for $100 each! That will separate the pretenders from the contenders. Or not... :impatient

I like the idea that MINIs don't have the "social" pretensions of so many Euro-cars. I like a car that is more than a transportation utensil. I like waving. And I like crap.

Have a nice day.

I'm getting ready to peel the "C" off the back hatch and replacing it with a "p".

Anybody have some letters left over from when they de-badged.

You can't hold him to that, he was probably drunk when he wrote that.

Well, well, well. I have the JCW airbox, injectors and DME. If Sexy Lexy is on the Team I want my badge and I want my T-shirt.
