JCW Logo Placement

. . . just wondering.

Other than on the JCW Carbon Fiber Dash, does the Works logo ever appear on any other style interior dashes so equipped with the JCW package?

Depends, if you cut the loop off of a JCW keychain, it mounts nicely to the passenger side dash with double sticky tape . . .

ah . .ha! Sounds like if I want one , I've got to provide it. Keychain logo sounds like a good solution.

Thanks!

If you do the keychain mod for a JCW logo, be careful not to put it where the airbag could turn it into a bullet. It would be a beotch to survive the deadly crash but to perish from a keychain to the heart...

I've got the logo in these places inside:

plus this one on my Whalen Shift Machine:

I just sent in my headrest covers to a company in New York that makes these. They'll be back in a few days.
(This picture is from WeeGas's car)

And under the hood, I have the strut brace, which has this logo:

It's Crap-tacular!

Not many others will fit with the CAI, right?

I LOVE my JCW strut brace! (I see you're in 1st gear, so you may not realize the tongue-in-cheek, long, long history on NAM of referring to JCW stuff as 'crap' in a good way). Just search on the word "crap" and you'll see what I mean. There's even a Team Crap-tastic floating around here somewhere...

As far as fitment goes, it aligns perfectly with the grooves in the air intake, and unlike some other units, looks completely factory and integrated, requires no removal or modification of the hood insulation to get the bonnet to close properly.

It's crap-alicious!

. . . maybe what I really need for my dash is the official JCW CRAPTASTIC Sticker!

I see! I figured that out last night...

but in terms of the brace. Noticeable stiffness from install? Worth the money? I have been told the mini chasis is pretty stiff already, is this needed for a JCW car that will be tracked 15 events a year? Would you consider aftermarket? I keep hearing that others "like BMP" will not fit with the JCW CAI.

Some ppl might think that way ... I would not assume ALL think that way based on the cost/benefit analysis

Chowsie, chowsie, chowsie . . . It's a HOBBY . . . How much does a three pound bass cost when caught behind a Ranger bass boat?

A dollar three eighty!

Actually, If you buy JCW, I dont view that as a hobby. Its factory fitted, just another box to check ... think Z06 vice C6. Just another option. Like HK vice stock radio

Add the aftermarket bits ... that might be a hobby! (IMO)

JCW Logo on Dash

this is what i did to my JCW.

i purchased a Rear JCW logo (can't do front logo because it has the pegs) from an Ebayer and i put it on my Red dash since the passenger side it's just a big piece of plastic and i stuck it on. It's exactly 3" from the left crack and it's exactly 3" from the right air vent and i just stuck it on. It makes the interior look SOOOOO much better. You have a logo on the back, front and now put one in the middle. it looks really good.

i'll post a picture when i get a second to take a picture and post it.

Chows,
Where does that come from?? The only time I've ever heard "a buck three-eighty" is from an old Billy Joel song ("Close to the Borderline").

Does it have some other meaning?

I don't know about the standard JCW package, but in addition to the CF dash, there's also a JCW logo on the CF brake handle and the CF steering wheel inserts. That's the main reason I haven't gotten the e-brake handle - the logo on my CF dash is enough. I might get the inserts for the steering wheel if they come out with a set that's compatible with the MFSW controls and doesn't have the logo emblazoned on it.

Here's how I ended up incorporating the JCW logo on my dash using the keychain logo:

The JCW leather dash also has the JCW logo stamped into the leather. Since it's just an imprint, it's not as obvious and distinct as a colored logo, but it is still effective. Here's mine - the pic is a little blurry, but it will do

here's the picture of the JCW rear badge on my dash. it really makes the passenger side. Of course the badge is nice and chromed with the red accent lines and what not but i guess the flash washed out the chrome some. Looks really good plus it's a lot cheaper than the actual JCW dash.
