JCW Garage Interested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 1st Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs are discussed.

Has anyone upgraded their JCW? If so with what and what were the GAINS?

I'm curious as to what mods can be done to the JCW that will increase HP? What are the best and what doesn't work?

chows4us.. thanks for the link!! Just to throw this up again.. there were numerous referances to having a "Local shop" port the head for about 200.00 !! Question.. how many people have asked their "Local shops" for an est on their head?? Assume it will be: Port/ bowl/ valve job ( stock or performance) clean/ surface flat.. and any misc parts ( shims/seals ect).

Of course there is NO Guide line on what is "PORTED " so we will use the Local shops est.. cool?? It would be interesting to see what other areas are asking.. ( east..west..??)

$200? That seems low.

When I was looking at head, the webb head seems to be the reference point because it include a cam.

I did check our local shop, also a NAM vendor ... I dont know the exact price because they do bespoke tuning. ... tell us exactly what you want and we will make it happen ... that kind of thing. Im guessing 2K is more reasonable
