A very sharp MINI - PW with JCW all around!!
A very sharp MINI - PW with JCW all around!!
Wow!
This one looked sharp! Take your average Pepper White MCS, add a little JCW stuff, add a dash of bling, a sprinkling of custom paint work (pepper white dash) and you've got a fantastic recipe for one hot MINI!
Thanks to Hendrick MINI, Charlotte, NC for letting me crawl (and drool) all over this one
Lets see it had........The JCW engine mod, JCW suspension, JCW brakes, JCW wheels, Aero Kit, Leather, Premium and a perfectly matched PW dash:

Don't know if I missed anything, but I don't think there's anything left! Is there?

The speaker surrounds are the basic silver.

I do love the look of the car, but I've always liked that semi-monochromatic look. When I was rebuilding cars I always leaned towards one primary color, with just a touch of a contrasting color. As in this case, the black just serves to accent the white.

It looks good when you're focusing on just that color, but when I think about how many different colors of grey there are in the car already, I think adding yet another one is too much. I guess I'd rather the interior be a little more monochromatic.

Here's one from the other side of the car. Shows off the PW better. I'm a huge fan of the body colored dash, my wife's car is coming with the CR interior and the chrome line interior. I think bring the exterior color into the car highlights the monochromatic effect.
My only problem with the way MINI is doing this option, is that you can't get the anthracite interior plastic pieces. The door pull & horizontals along with the center stack downtubes come in the silver color only, even when the anthracite headliner is ordered.

If I remember correctly the price was less then the $42 mentioned above, closer to $41.5. I'm making no judgement on cost here, just liked the look!

That is a seriously nice car! I had been enquiring whether MINIUSA intends to offer a PW / MCSC with a Beige hood. I'd order it on the spot as the more I see it, I really like PW. Thanks for the pix.

The parts and service guys, Rob and Dominic, along with Ed Keady(M2C2 member) the Sales Manager put this MINI together. As stated above they used Loren Koski (M2C2 member) the owner of Import Paint and body to due all of the paint work.
We need to get a picture of Loren's MINI. It's black on black 05 MCS with aero kit all the JCW stuff and custom painted JCW wheels. It's the evil twin of this one.
If you are in the Charlotte, NC area on Saturday morning stop in. M2C2 (The MINI Motoring Club of The Carolinas) meets at Hendrick MINI from 9:00AM until 11:00AM for coffee and donuts, courtesy of Hendrick MINI every Saturday morning.
a $42,000 Mini?
At forty grand, I don't think they will ever sell this car. Don't get me wrong, I love it...I want it...but I wouldn't buy it for $40,000. Did Hendrick Mini build this car for show, or do they really expect to sell it?
Hendrick MINI has built several MINIs with areo Kit, JCW engine and JCW wheels that they sold without any problem. I know that one came back and added the JCW suspension and JCW brakes.
Charlotte is also home to about 90% of all NASCAR teams and the MINI is a popular car with drivers, owners and crew chiefs. Charlotte is also home to Bank of America and Wachovia Bank. The bankers buy alot of BMWs and Porsches and the MINI lot is right next door.
They told us on Saturday that they had several people very interested in this car. The MINI had only been on the lot for about an hour when the first interested person drove it. I got a chance to talk to him after his test drive while Smokey4 was taking the pictures. He was a local Doctor and said yes it was up there price wise, but it was what he wanted in a MINI.
The MINI is out of my price range, but yes they built it to sell. I think the parts guys are already thinking about the next one as they said something about adding MINI carbon fiber goodies to the next one.
M2C2 members stop by on Saturdays and we always enjoy seeing what they have put together when we come in. The parts guys are very active with the sales guys. Most MINIs that they have added upgrades to are not there when we stop in the next week. It gives us a chance to see what upgrades look like on an actual MINI rather than just in the MINI wish book.

I really like PW with the black accents. I really wish it was available on the convertible. It would have been what I ordered for sure.
